Chapter 28 by Darth_Halford Darth_Halford

What's next?

Take a moment to rest.

"The Vampire may rest at dawn but her subjects and soldiers are under no such restraint, we need to move, and move swiftly." Dilancia, ever the Colonel at heart, says without pause and without disagreement.
"With them having tried to shut the drawbridge to keep you in, it'll take time for it to come back down, so that will give us at least some time to get evade them and their notice." Xandria noted
Quickly clothed, armored, and armed, the three of you make quick use of the horses you stole to put great distance between you and the trauma. As tight and restricting as your armor is, it feels immediatly more normal and comfortable to have something on you than being exposed and naked as you were against your will for the past day. The horses are energetic and willing to move, but you and Dilah both struggle to keep yourselves awake and alert. Xandria has to work harder to make sure neither of you fall out of your saddles, and himself begins to tire of the act of keeping you both in check.

"Look, you two are beat. I know there's an inordinate amount of peril right now, but the two of you need a moment. You've gone nearly two full days without a moment's rest. Exhaustion will kill you before the enemy does."

"This isn't safe" Dilancia said, defiantly, but weakly "Sleeping anywhere near here is going to get us caught."

"Fine" he said, leaning forward "A compromise than? There's a river not far off from this road. I'm sure that a chance to put some cold water on your face and get clean would be worthwhile, help give you your second wind."

"Feels more like a third or fourth wind at this point" You reply sarcastically, with chuckles from the others "but a chance to wash would be great!" Regardless of the intoxication of the moment, the reminder of all of those men on your face and skin is repulsive.

"That's the spirit, follow me" Xandria's path is difficult to navigate, but you quietly suspect that's a deliberate choice on his part to avoid detection. The harder it is for you to get there, the harder it will be for the Baroness' soldiers to follow you. You remind yourself of that to restrain yourself from outwardly complaining, and wanting this all to be over. You get your wish soon enough, and find a beautiful and calm area, where the rays of the morning sun break through the thick trees overhead, glimmering in the deep river below. You hear the sound of a waterfall in the distance, it's constant churn an oddly welcoming, calming sound.

"I'll keep watch, take the time you need" Xandria offers as he dismounts his horse, and reins in the other two. You both waste no time in taking your armor off again, preparing to immerse yourself in the cold water. Not a word was spoken by either of you for a while. For now, quiet and personal reflection was what was most needed. You notice that Dilancia is taking longer than you to undress, and it doesn't take long for you to understand why. Removing the legplates, and having her fully exposed, the change from the night before, the cock she was given by the Vampire Baroness is still there. She stares at it, wrapping her hand around its base. You can immediately recognize and sympathize with the thoughts that must be going through her mind.

"Hey, come on" You grab her hands and start to walk backwards into the lake "Tell me what you're thinking. Speak candidly"

"Conflicted" the Colonel replied. "Very conflicted. This...._thing, _is demonic. There is now a very real part of evil inside me, no matter where I go or what I do."

You feel a little sore, hearing how she describes this, fully aware of your own demonic heritage. "You know, you're actually rather lucky. At least yours isn't where every else can see it."

"You're absolutely right, and it feels terrible for me to complain or talk about it, when you've dealt with worse your entire life. You have even more strength to you than I was aware of. I'm sorry Demetria." She takes a deep breath. "I refuse to let this define me, just as it hasn't defined you."

"I'm glad to hear that," you start, as you both are waist deep in the water, your hand moving down to grasp her cock. You stroke it slowly and softly "Cause I love that we have more in common." You can't believe yourself, but you can't deny that the size and heft of this member in your hands is arousing, especially attached to her. "I want you to feel like this is a good thing for us, and not a curse."

Dilancia grows even more conflicted by the sensation. She moans in surprise and pleasure, but her face and tone gives a different message.

"Oh, Demetria, you impertinent child! I can't believe you would do such a thing."

"I just want to let you know I still want you"

"What, here? now"

"Any place, any time" the words shock you as they come out, but hearing them, they sound true "I do love you, no matter what."

"I love you too." She responds, and you feel a strong hand grasp your butt "Perhaps there is something to look forward to. I have wondered what it would be like to ream that young, tight, little ass of yours"

The proposition surprises you. You haven't thought of it that way. Your face feels warm. "Colonel, are you saying I need to be disciplined?"

She lets out a contented sigh in response "I don't have that kind of energy right now, but I'm sure that once we can actually rest, you'll get exactly what you deserve." She gives a slight push on your shoulder to back away "Now, we really should get to it. We are still being hunted, after all."

"Right" You respond as you back away. Providing distance from one another, you bathe in peace and quiet. True to the ranger's idea, the time spent here is refreshing and energizing. You're happy to see that as you exit the river, Dilancia is just as hard and aroused as you, but literally stuff those desires away in your armor, as you ride out again.

Shortly after midday, you are able to come to a small town; a probably fishing village by the looks of it.

"Looks like we found a place to stop for the night" You comment, to Dilancia's swift refusal.

"No, we need to move on"

"What? Why" Xandria asked before you could.

"Because the enemy would expect us to take the first haven we could for safety and refuge. The further out we go, the less likely it is that they'll pursue us."

"You know, if we don't make it to a town or something by nightfall, it'll be easy for that Vampire to find us again."

"Perhaps not. She seemed to fear the werewolves and how plentiful they are in the area. That might give us some protection."

"Are you really ready to count on that? Protection from one mortal enemy by the presence of an equally dangerous one?"

Stay here, or try to keep going?
