The New Rules

The details of modifying the glory hole were left to Sarah, and she began right away -- there was so much to do!

First, she met with Angela to arrange the interview videos. After describing her general ideas, she delegated the work to Angela, who wrote the questions, scheduled the interviews, and then finally conducted and filmed them in one of the classrooms. Angela hired a couple of undergraduates from the computer science program to set up a web site for the video -- each woman in the department would have her own channel, and in addition to the videos there were some simple social media features for liking and commenting.

Sarah called the University construction crew to plan the installation of the one-way glass -- arranging to do it on a weekend so that the regular gloryhole services would not be interrupted. She took the opportunity to also make the women's side of the booth more comfortable. She worked with a professor from the Film and Media Arts Department to find the best spots for the cameras (they decided on three angles), had new lighting installed, and experimented with the microphone settings to ensure the best possible audio quality. She wrote a new sign to post in the men's side, and had it printed at the University press.

In all, it was several weeks of work, culminating in a difficult weekend where Sarah supervised the construction and make frantic calls to iron out last-minute problems.

Sunday evening, she came home to Al, who was waiting with a martini. "It's done!" she said with a tired smile. "The new booth is ready, the web site is up and running, and the interviews have all been posted. Plus..."

"Plus?" asked Al.

Sarah blushed a little. "Well, I wanted to make sure the new gloryhole setup was good. You know, baptize it. So I invited the construction guys to try it out after the work was done..."

Al laughed. "You didn't!"

"I did!" she said. "God, I was so embarrassed. And turned on! Anyway, those videos are posted now, too, and I was thinking... how about we have another martini and take a look at the web site together?"

Sarah pulled up the web site while Al made another drink. Al came over and looked through the choices. Now it was his turn to blush. "These all sound... uh... interesting," he stammered, "but first I'd like to watch..."
