Cherchiel blushes as she and Yulia hear the nice voice talk about how adorable they are together. The voices appear to have changed their minds, or at least one has which has tipped the scales towards visiting the Priests' Chambers first. Yulia also does as suggested and takes out the Halo, giving it to Cherchiel.

"This... Is God's Favour?" she asks surprised, "you're giving this to me?"

"Of course... It seems like I'm unlikely to need it here and hopefully it will keep you alive in the event we fail against the One True God," Yulia explains. Cherchiel nods and puts it on, it hovers just above her head, glowing a gentle white.

The two then head over to the door to the Priests' Chambers and Yulia carefully opens the door before stepping inside, Cherchiel following her.

Inside there are a group of about 5 men, in priestly vestments, they stare at Yulia with a mixture of shock and outrage. One of them steps forward, his head is shaved bald and he has a narrow face with sharp angular features giving him a rather intimidating countenance, his robes are more ornate than the others with gold trim along the edges of the black vestments. "you dare enter this chamber? This is not for you!" he declares angrily and Yulia hesitates, seemingly uncertain about her decision, "for your transgression you shall both be punished, get down on your knees, sinners!" he demands of both Yulia and Cherchiel.

Cherchiel speaks, "if you want the boon we have to fight..." she whispers and Yulia nods and draws out her rapier.

The High Priest's eyes narrow, "you would attack a man of god? So, be it, but know that your punishment will be far worse," he states.

"Cherchiel you have my back, right?" Yulia asks nervously and Cherchiel nods, at which point the other four men, close in and The High Priest holds out his hand.

"Wait... I have an offer for you, I am willing to fight you, one on one, or you could have your friend assist you, but I will have my friends assist me as well," he states and the other priests nod, looking between Yulia and Cherchiel with determined and... slightly hungry looks.

Yulia seems nervous, this feels like a mistake, but at the same time, there's something... theatrical, scripted about all of this, like the priests did indeed expect Yulia's arrival and knew exactly how to respond, Yulia is still nervous, but she is at least reassured that this does seem to be some kind of test, though she also imagines, the talk of punishment for her transgression is likely not an idle threat, whether the transgression itself is real or not.

She looks to Cherchiel and decides, turning back to the high priest "Alright... Just me and you. Though I have one more condition... If I lose... You don't do anything to Cherchiel," she states and The High Priest smiles.

"How noble of you, taking the punishment all on yourself. You'd make a fine martyr and you'll make a fine follower of the One True God," he states and then slips off his robes, revealing a muscular body hidden beneath the heavy, concealing robes. He cracks his neck with an audible noise and Yulia takes a step back, but then steps forward again, refusing to be intimidated as she holds her Rapier up at the ready.
