"Yeah, she paid me to help with some work yesterday. You guys still friends?"

Alex makes a face. "Not really... I only really ever hung around with her because of Bobby. She's a little... rough for me."

"Oh," Ethan scratches if head. "Yeah, I can see that..."

Alex stares at Ethan for a moment, as if trying to read something.

"What?" Ethan can feel her stare boring into him.

"Nothing." Alex's eyes squint for a second, and then she looks away. "I'll take you town hall."
