Presley's letter

My dearest Maeve,

I trust this letter finds you in good health. First of all, let me say how sorry I am that we could not say goodbye, but my help in the laboratory down the coast was imperative. Sadly, I am not free to talk about what we work on here, particularly not in a letter.

The other reason I write to you I am not willing to put in a letter anyone could read. What I can say here is that our shared benefactress has been paying me visits ever since our first time together. She swore me to secrecy until the time was right, until the first of Her boons arrived for me. It happened unusually fast, She told me in good conscience, and I keep having to adjust my wardrobe to account for them.

But I do not mind, knowing that it brings me closer to Her, and more importantly, you, dearest Maeve. More when we see each other again, which can not happen soon enough.

I must away now, duty calls, but I will always think of you.
