What will happen next?

Preparing for Homecoming

It was now the day before the homecoming dance and Heather, Ashley, Sharon, Madison, and some of the other cheerleaders were decorating the gym for the dance. They also had Victoria and Alice helping them out since they had started hanging out with both their own group as well as some of the group that associated with Heather.

As Heather was putting up a decoration, she looked down to see Victoria standing there handing her the next thing that she needed to put up. Heather smiled at her new friend and then put up the decoration. When she was done, she came down the ladder and looked up to see how everything that she had just done looked.

“Everything is looking good.” Heather said to Victoria.

“Yeah it is. I am really looking forward to the dance.” Victoria said.

“Oh, does that mean that you have a date?” Heather asked with a smirk.

Victoria blushed, which gave Heather the answer that she was looking for. “I guess you could say that.” Victoria said.

“Oliver?” Heather asked.

“Yep. He asked me to the dance. I didn’t think that he would, but he did.” Victoria said.

“He would be stupid if he didn’t. I mean, you are hot as hell. Anyone would be lucky to have you.” Heather said.

“Thanks. So, I am guessing that you are going with Brandon?” Victoria asked.

“Yep. I wonder if Alice is going with Gavin?” Heather asked, even though she knew that Alice was really with Zack since the twins didn’t keep much from each other.

“Yeah. I think they are going together. Why? Do you know something that I don’t?” Victoria asked.

“No, I just didn’t know if Gavin would have the guts to make the first move or not.” Heather said with a shrug.

“I can see that, although he did ask her to the dance, so maybe he isn’t as scared of that kind of stuff as I thought.” Victoria said.

“Maybe he is getting more brave because he actually has a girl who is interested in him.” Heather said.

“That could be.” Victoria said as the two of them walked over to where some of their other friends were talking.

“So, who are you going to the dance with, Maddie?” Ashley asked.

“Oh, Trent asked me the other day, so unless dad causes some trouble, that is who I am going with.

“How are you, Sharon and Scarlett going to pull off going to the dance with Zack?” Maddie asked Ashley.

“With a lot of coordination. On the fast dances, things won’t be so bad, but the slow dances we will just have to switch out with each one.” Ashley said.

“Yeah. We will find a way to make it work.” Sharon said.

“What about you and Gavin, Alice? Are you looking forward to the dance?” Heather asked as she and Victoria walked up.

“Yeah, I am looking forward to it. It should be a fun time.” Alice said and she could see that Heather was giving her a smirk and she thought that Zack must have told Heather the truth.

“Sounds great. Even Victoria has a date. Maybe it will turn into something more for her.” Heather said.

“We will see how things go.” Victoria said.

“Oliver seems to be a good guy. He should be good for you.” Madison said.

“Yeah, he is. We have been friends for years so we have that working for us.” Victoria said.

“Yep. I am glad that you got a date, but I was looking forward to putting my matchmaking skills to good use. Maybe there is someone else I can help out.” Ashley said with a shrug.

“You and your matchmaking. Can’t you just let things happen naturally?” Heather asked while rolling her eyes at her friend.

“Hey! I can’t help it that I am good at it.” Ashley said.

“I have seen you bomb too.” Heather said.

“Only a few times. I can’t be successful every time.” Ashley said.

“Fair enough. So, are all of you going to the game tonight?” Heather asked the non-cheerleaders.

“Alice and I will be there. We are covering the game.” Victoria said and Alice nodded in agreement.

“Cool. Well, all of us cheerleaders have to be there of course.” Heather said.

“Not that I would miss it either way. Especially with Zack playing.” Ashley said and Heather nodded in agreement.

“Do you think Scarlett will come?” Alice asked.

“I don’t see why not.” Ashley said giving Alice a secret smile since they were both girlfriends, but no one outside of Zack, Scarlett, Alice, Heather and herself knew that.

“It is good of her to come out and support Zack.” Alice said.

“I guess she is a decent girlfriend.” Sharon said with a shrug, not looking happy that they had another girlfriend to deal with, and she didn’t even know about Alice yet.

“She seems nice enough.” Alice said.

“She is. Sharon is just grumpy because she doesn’t like Zack having more girlfriends than just herself and me.” Ashley said and Sharon glared at her.

“What is your problem?” Sharon asked.

“You know what my problem is, but that is not something that needs to be talked about right now.” Ashley said and Sharon shut up when she said that.

“Looks like our dear Ashley has some dirt on Sharon. How about you tell us what that is?” Heather asked with a smirk.

“No, she wouldn’t do that.” Sharon said.

“I could if I wanted to, but if I did that, I wouldn’t be able to hold it over you anymore.” Ashley said with a smirk of her own.

“Fine, rub it in.” Sharon said with a pout on his face.

“Damn. It must be good if it is working Sharon up this much.” Heather said while chuckling.

“Oh it is good and it would blow things up.” Ashley said.

“Damn. Now I really want to know.” Heather said.

“You might find out one of these days. It all depends if the information finds its way out into the open.” Ashley said.

“It better not be from you.” Sharon said, looking at Ashley.

“It won’t be. I lose all of my leverage otherwise.” Ashley said.

“I never thought you could be so devious, Ashley.” Madison said.

“Only when I need to be. So, onto other topics. Is anyone throwing a party after the game tonight?” Ashley asked.

“I think we might have something with just close friends at the mansion tonight. All of you are invited if you want to come.” Heather said.

“All of us cheerleaders will be there. I guess that leaves Victoria and Alice. Do you see yourselves coming?” Ashley asked.

“I think it would be fun. What do you think, Vicky?” Alice asked.

“It’s not really my thing, but I can stop by for a little while.” Victoria said.

“That’s right. Live a little, girl.” Heather said.

“I have definitely started living more since I have gotten close to you.” Victoria said.

“What can I say? Fun follows me.” Heather said with a shrug.

“It sure seems to. I’m in.” Victoria said.

“Gavin should be there for you Alice. Victoria, you can invite Oliver if you want to.” Heather said.

“I will think about it.” Victoria said.

“Well, we only have a little while before the game starts. Us cheerleaders better go and get ready. I guess you reporters need to get your stuff as well.” Heather said and everyone nodded as the cheerleaders went to their locker room and the reporters went to get a camera and a couple of notebooks so that they could keep their notes.

Tonight was going to be a fun night with the game and then the after party. Then there will be tomorrow night with the dance itself. It was going to be a busy weekend, but it also was going to be a fun one for everyone involved.
