Chapter 193 by zewesman zewesman

“Yes, yes, I know. But a bad plan is better than no plan. So, got a map so we can plan a route?” asked John.

Preparations for Escape

“So, it’s clear that we can’t use the same way we came in to get out. They’ll have that locked down and under heavy guard, so what other exits do we have?” asked John to his makeshift war council.

“There is a series of service tunnels located throughout this sub basement,” Sasha told John as she pointed to various parts of the map. “They tend not to be under heavy guard because they are very narrow, like one by one row narrow,” explained Sasha. “But it’s still our best bet.”

“Hmm. I agree. There’s not much else we can do. However, we should have a two-fold distraction plan,” decided John. “We’ll go with the original plan of Stitches attacking the elevator to make them think we are going to escape through it. But if you look here,” John said as he pointed to a section of the wall, “we can have someone quickly blow out this wall. Make them think we are going to use the service elevator to quickly get up to the surface.” John figured this plan should have enough subterfuge to allow the group to move through most, if not all, of the service tunnels to get to safety.

“Yes, yes, that may work,” agreed Sasha. “They’ll have to split their forces to deal with both problems and thin out the lines enough that we may actually sneak through without them even noticing,” an impressed Sasha said. “I see how a twerp like you could have taken out the Order,” she complimented him with a smile.

“Yeah, that was no easy task. Also, I’m not a twerp,” John told Sasha.

“Tots what a twerp would say,” chimed in Sam, which caused the two derps to giggle.

“You I’ll deal with back at the castle,” growled John at Sam, who gave her king a wink.

“Tots looking forward to ya ‘punishment’,” replied the apprentice inquisitor.

“Please refrain from such talk in front of the children,” chided Gali to the two apparently horny teammates.

“Of course,” agreed John as he went back to the task at hand. “Question is, how can we get that wall to explode?” asked John.

“I have an idea,” Sasha chimed in. “What if I place one of my detonation cards on the wall and blow it. Sadly, the range isn’t far enough for me to be safely in the tunnels before detonating it. I’ll have to be about half way there to detonate it at the very maximum of range,” explained Sasha.

“I’ll escort you,” John immediately decided, without any input from anyone else.

“Thank you, cutie, but I’ll be fine on my own,” Sasha told him.

“I wasn’t asking,” replied John. “You’re too important to this operation to leave you to do this without any sort of protection,” John told her.

“You don’t strike me as the protection type of guy, right ladies?” a cheeky Sasha said to the other women in the group. All of whom had a slight blush and looked away at that mention.

“If we make it out of this alive, maybe I’ll let you find out firsthand,” John told her with a big smirk on his face.
“Oh ho! Look at junior! Got some fire in you! I can see why these women follow you if you got that kind of confidence. But fine, we can secure the bomb card together,” conceded Sasha.

“Good. Everyone, check your gear, your mana, and your supplies. We’re gonna only get one shot at this and we have to make it count. Dismissed.” The group separated to follow John’s orders. Sasha and Shelly made their ways to Doctor Raynesh to see if he had finished his own preparations for his perfection creation to be transported through Sasha’s magic. The sisters take the time to catch up as the others get ready.

“Kinda funny how this all played out, huh Big Red?” Shelly asked her sister.

“Indeed it is, Little Red,” replied Sasha as she hugged her sister. “Who would have thought that some random late bloomer I got info from would be helping me reunite with my little sister and escape from god damn Nazis,” she said as she thought back to that first interaction.

“Total perv tho,” Shelly told her sister.

“Oh definitely. But I got a feeling he’s a good lay,” chuckled Sasha.

“OH MY GOD, SASHA!” Shelly cried out, embarrassed by what her sister just said.

“Don’t worry, you can join us, too!” said the older sister as she patted her sister’s butt.

“I hate you. I hate you so much,” grumbled Shelly to her sister.

“I love you too, Little Red.” Sasha brought her sister into a loving embrace and kised her head. “Let’s never be separated like this again, ok?” she asked her sister.

“I agree.” Shelly reciprocated her sister’s hug as she was happy to have her by her side again.

“Again! Again!” cried out Mimi.

“Again! Again!” cried out Yatina.

“Friends go uuuuuuuuuup!” a happy Stitches said as it tossed the two derps up into the air with one set of arms and caught them in another set. The two derps giggled as they enjoyed playing with their new friend. The three happily played on as the others decided on what was the best course of action, not a care in the world.

“Like not a care in the tots world,” Sam said to Gali as the two watched the derps have fun.

“Let the children play, it will be very harrowing for them when we move out,” Gali informed Sam, who just nodded in agreement.

John, meanwhile, stood in a solitary corner of the room as he contemplated the probable outcomes of their upcoming plan to escape. I can’t really be mad at Sasha, even tho she did screw me over pretty good. Thought John as he let his thoughts flow freely. She was just doing a job and had no way it would all lead to this. No sane person would think a simple job would turn out to lead to god damn Nazis trying to take over the city. Either way, I gotta work with her now to get out of here. Plus, I don’t think Shelly would be very happy with me if I did something to her sister. John, while unhappy with the situation, did see the need to work alongside Sasha the best he could to ensure that everyone got out of the situation safely.

“Alright, everyone ready?” asked John as he looked around the room. Gali and the derps nodded as they held each other's hands. Sam, meanwhile, had equipped her weapons and armor and gave a nod as well. Sasha, Shelly, and Professor Raynesh walked back from his corner with Sasha holding a card and smiling.

“Stitches ready!” Even the lumbering hulk of stitched up flesh but with a heart of gold let John know it was ready to fight as well.

“Good. Everyone, take your positions. We’ll move out in a moment,” John said as everyone took their respective places.

“Let’s just hope our distraction team is still distracting,” John said as he gave the nod to open the doors and lower the barrier.
