"No life signs in the building," Reed Richards said, voice tight. He went first. A web of scanning devices attached to his body. Scouring the dark rooms for information. Traces of radiation. DNA.

Roaches crawled across the floor of Porkum's lair. Feasting on ancient remnants of a dozen take-out Chinese containers and pizza crusts, drowning themselves in the spilled puddles of beer and liquor. "And what is your plan now?" Doctor Doom's hologram hovered over Porkum's smartphone.

The back-up safehouse was in New Jersey. A little farmhouse on the edges of the Pine Barrens. Quiet. Serene. Boring. Sue Storm lay asleep on the bed, his latest load oozing out of her ass.
