Red Hood staked out the Gotham Botanical Gardens from an adjacent rooftop. He scoped the place out while Batman paraded around the city whipping asses left and right. Jason grumbled. He should be by the Dark Knight's side, not poking around some dingy old green house. Bruce trusted him to bring in Poison Ivy single handedly. That or this was just another one of his mentor's many tests. If he could bag Ivy all on his lonesome then maybe he'd earn a modicum of respect from Bruce. He thought his days of trying to impress the bat were over. Things might have not changed as much as he thought after all.

"Come out, Ivy!" Jason's voice echoed through the overgrown building. The plants clinging to the walls and unnaturally large flowers were nowhere near as unsettling as the massive venus flytraps.

A stray vine brushed against his thigh, coiling around his leg and sweeping him off his feet. "Ivy!" The vine held him upside down. He tried to break its grasp on him but it was far too strong. What did she do to these plants? "Put me down, dammit!"

An overgrown venus flytrap opened underneath him.

"Are you sure you want that, darling?" The green skinned redhead smirked as she sashayed through the doorway.

"I'm here to bring you in, Ivy!"

"Somehow I don't find that very likely. Where's the bat? Is he around?" She glanced around the room. "He... he didn't send you alone did he? All by yourself?" She tilted her head with a smirk. "How cruel. Sending a boy to do a man's job..."

"Shut up! I am a man!" More vines wrapped around his arms and legs, carrying him upright in front of Ivy until he was merely a few inches from her. She lifted his red mask slowly. "Wait! No! Stop!"

"Ooooh. You're cute though."

"God dammit!"

"Don't be so grumpy, doll. It's not like I even know who you are anyway. " She tossed the mask aside. What did she expect? Some super famous genius billionaire playboy philanthropist masquerading as a vigilante late at night? Ridiculous. All she saw was a young man with dark hair. A stranger.
