Pamela "Poison Ivy" Isley had been through an accident which among other things had connected her with the Green. A cosmic **** which connects all plant life in the universe. It also had an affect of giving her pheromones allowing her to control people. Life and mind control. The same factors which are the base of the Life Equation.

Which makes it unsurprising that the Equation ended up in her mind.
