Playing with Other Women

As soon as Cassie sees you she can tell there's something heavy on your mind.

"What is it?" She asks bluntly.

You hesitate.

"You can tell me anything." She says in a reassuring tone.

You make the request word-for-word, as instructed.

"There's something I've been fantasizing about more and more, and I would regret it if I never even asked. Would you be open to the idea of swinging?"

"You mean..."

"Like, going to private clubs where people do stuff with each other's partners."

"But John, we haven't even had sex with each other yet. So how could we have sex with others?"

You try to keep your voice as calm and casual as possible. "Well it wouldn't have to be full sex. Just oral stuff like what we do, you know? But yeah, if you think it's a dumb idea, please just say no."

"I think..." She's lost for words for a minute. "I think you are the most important thing in my life, so if there's something you need sexually to feel fulfilled, I want to try my best to meet that need."

Shit.

You can't think of what to say to reverse the direction this is going that wouldn't break the rules.

She pauses before adding, "This is just a sex thing, right? You still want to marry me?"

"Of course I want to marry you! You're the only person I'll ever love!" You blurt out, before inwardly realizing that sowing a seed of doubt about this could have been your ticket to getting her to say no.

"That's all I needed to hear. So. Tell me exactly what would happen in this fantasy of yours."
