Play it safe.

“Just enjoying my birthday.” You nod, playing it safe. “Dessert?” You ask, trying to cover up your lame response.

“I'm stuffed.” Kyle playfully waves off your offer, “Maybe latter?”

“Deal.” You stand and after paying check, and leaving a generous tip, you escort your date out of the restaurant and head down the path by the West River towards LexCorp Stadium Park. Walking side by side you both comment on what a beautiful spring night it is, with Kyle admitting that Metropolis is a far more beautiful and peaceful city than Gotham.

The park itself is meticulously decorated in a pre-WWI World's Fair style. After buying two tickets you enter into the promenade and realize the complex is much more extensive than you originally thought. The park itself is divided into four large sections. There is the Horatio Alger Playground for the little kids and the Winslow Schott Penny Arcade of non-electrical replicas from the 1910 era, classic arcade video games from the 1980's and cutting edge VR games. The other options include the Deadball Midway with games of chance and a few park rides, and finally “Lover's Way” for the adults.

“Lex knows how to spend the money.” You date whistles, equally impressed. “You have to give him that.”

“You know Lex Luthor?” You ask, surprised by her use of his first name.

“Not really, I did an appraising job of the art collection he keeps at the Bruce Dini Building a year ago.” Kyle nonchalantly answers as she leans over one of the park's maps, “I was able to borrow a ride in one of his limos at the end, it was quite a night.”

Before you can inquire any further, the emerald eyed Gothamite straightens up and spins to you with a playful smile. “So, doc, what's your poison? The arcade, the midway or Lover's Way?” A devilish challenging glint sparks in her eyes. “They all require a bit of luck.”
