Plan a Course of Action

Having heard all of the testimonies from the involved parties, the guild gathers around a large, solid oak table, where a map of the Kingdom of Deirdre is laid out. Deraxle, Cat, & Sakura place their notes and sketches next to the map, while Janissa reaches into her pack, and pulls out some figurines and other items to place on the map.

"So here we are, Deirdre." Cesar places a figurine of a Briarwolf over the given spot. "Jethro Valley, is right here, approximately 40 clicks to the North, nestled between the Orcish Domain of Dubrovny, and the Dwarven Nation of Steelforge." He puts another figurine over the spot on the map that marks Clampit's Vale. "Right here, is Clampit's Vale. According to this map, there's a foothills to the North and East, reportedly where the archaeological ruins are."

"So far, according to the testimonies, the group of Orc clans, the 'Sabretooth Triad', are behind this invasion." She puts the Orc figurine over the spot in Dubrovny, where such activity was last reported, 4 years ago. "So far, we do not know who else is behind it, but that is what we know right now. If Lady Bayannon is correct about this female warlord, then her base could not be far from Clampit's Vale."

"She could be using one of the ruins as a base of operations." Deraxle looked at the map. "If that is true, and any of the forges there still work, then her subjects can use them, rework the metals from the relics, and forge new weapons and armor."

"That's not all." Cat added "Word is that the clans are abducting women. My initial thought is that they could be use as sacrificial lambs, or slaves. Of course, that is unknown, but I'm sure there are many who would appreciate us bringing as many of them back, as we can."

"Lady Bayannon said that the Orcs could be anywhere within Jethro Valley, and we know from the militia reports, that they have not gone any further than that, so far." Cesar scratches his chin, then looks down at the map. "With night having fallen, we cannot travel there. You still need time to recover from shifting into dragon form, is that correct, Deraxle?"

"Aye, m'lord." Deraxle nodded. "Taking up Lady Bayannon's offer to use the airship would be most appreciated. It would allow us to bring her back to her town, and she could guide us on the Archaeologists' Guild."

"Then that is what I believe we will do." Cesar nodded. "As soon as Lady Bayannon is ready in the morning, we depart for Clampit's Vale. Gather any further intelligence from the surviving archaeologists and townsfolk, then decide on the next course of action. Agreed?"

"Agreed." Janissa smiles, then the rest of the guild members follow suit.
