Chapter 11 by Rowenar Rowenar

Does Max have anything in mind?

Pick up snacks, with a twist

"I- um, somewhere quiet? Please?" Max said. She paused. "Uh, like a shop maybe? Somewhere to get food, if we're going to be waiting."

"Wait, can you bring stuff back in time too?" Chloe said.

"N-no," Max said. "It'd, uh, just be nice to have something. And if it's quiet maybe you can buy something properly after, in this." She tugged at her blanket.

Chloe glanced at her; after a moment she grinned.

"One condition," Chloe said. "You wrap up in that with me. Let me know how embarrassed I was, what happened at each step of the way into the shop, so I can really picture it."

Max squeaked. "I- uh, maybe. But just you, the first time."

"It's only the first time for you," Chloe said. "I only get one runthrough. Really getting kinda jealous that you get superpowers, you know? Still, bet I can be a kickass sidekick."

Flustered, Max fell silent. Chloe grinned across at her, then focused on the road.

She knew the perfect place. It was little more than a stop to pick up snacks for long journeys on the outskirts of town; even by Arcadia Bay's usual quiet standards, it tended to be pretty lonely. If Max was overwhelmed, it'd be a great spot to ease back into things.

A car drove towards them on the opposite side of the road; Max squeaked again. Chloe shifted lower in her seat, making sure they only got a tease rather than the full show.

At least the roads were quiet. That was almost the last car they went past, before Chloe pulled into the desolate parking area for the shop. She stopped the truck, silently hoping she'd be able to get it started again, then turned to Max with a grin. Max seemed slightly more flustered now.

"So, coming with?" Chloe said.

"N-no!" Max squeaked. "You can do this one by yourself."

"Aww come on, there's barely anyone there," Chloe said. "Live a little."

"I-I'm happy living in here," Max said.

"But how'll you know what to tell me about what happened?" Chloe said. "Got to be able to see what happens, to tell me who saw what and how red I got once you rewind."

"You can, uh, tell me," Max said. She hesitated. "Embellish! Make it what you'd want to hear. You won't know."

"Ooh, I can make it as dirty as possible?" Chloe's eyes lit up. "You know how to treat a girl. Well, let's get to it."

Chloe took a deep breath, then pushed the truck door open. Her bare feet landed on the tarmac.

She took a moment to savour the feeling of the bare air on her skin. Ok, she'd had a couple of brief exposures before, and there was the whole running-back-to-the-truck thing, but her only knowledge of her longer term public nudity was second hand. Each time was like her first, exhilarating like she'd never done it before.

All she had was what her imagination could conjure up based on what Max said. Which, yep, was fun, but didn't compare to the real thing.

Part of her wanted to cover up, but she suppressed the urge. Not like anyone would remember, and not like anyone was around.

She grinned back at Max, then closed the door behind her and walked purposefully towards the shop. Her hips swayed slightly, hoping Max appreciated the rear view. As though she hadn't seen it plenty of times before.

Chloe walked into the shop, waving at the solitary cashier, a little breathless as her cheeks heated. Well that marked one person who'd gotten an unobstructed full-frontal glimpse. Chloe swallowed, trying to stay steady.

Part of her wanted to giggle at the whole scene, part of her wanted to just run wooping around the shop trying to cover with her arms before heading back to Max, but in the end she'd decided it would be more fun to act like everything was normal. If there was only the cashier, a pretty young woman, Chloe wanted to get as much of a reaction as she could.

Chloe walked down the aisle, still breathless. Her heart pounded. Even inside the air fizzed against her skin, never letting her forget that she was nude.

She scanned one aisle, one hand raised as though to grab something as she walked along. Might as well pick up a snack for while she was telling Max the story; she'd picked up a few loose coins from iside the truck. It wasn't much, but she didn't need much.

A nervous giggle escaped her lips. God, this was such a rush.

Eventually she chose a pack filled with an assortment of treats. Variation was good. Carrying it in one hand, she strode back to the cashier, cheeks warming slight as she realised the cashier apparently hadn't taken her eyes off Chloe.

Act natural... Chloe quickly caught her breath, then stopped a small distance from the counter, just far enough to be sure the cashier could see her pussy as well. She fidgeted on the spot, squirming a little as a myriad different feelings ran through her.

"Heya, how's it going?" Chloe said, putting the pack on the counter along with the few coins.

"You're the most entertaining thing so far today," the cashier said. She scanned the pack, taking the payment. "Have a good one."

"Will do," Chloe grinned.

She took the pack back, and sauntered out of the shop. The moment she crossed the threshold and emerged into the open air she couldn't hold back the mad laugh; quickly she ran back to the truck, jumping back into the driver's seat and passing the pack over to Max while she slumped back, chest heaving as she quickly caught up on breathing.

God, had it been like that every time? A heady mix of embarrassment, nerves and thrill ran through her, sending a shiver that centred at the join of her thighs.

"Holy fuck Max," Chloe said. "If that's how it is with one person, how worked up do I get when it's more?"

Max flushed slightly. Beaming, Chloe shifted in her seat, sitting up straighter eventually. She didn't bother covering up; on one hand it was just Max, and on the other this was due to be rewound anyway.

"How was it?" Max squeaked.

"So good," Chloe said. "Wasn't like much actually happened, but hella fun being naked out there. Cashier was a cute girl, swear she was staring. Only her around. I walked up the aisle, then turned around and walked back with those, made sure she get a good long look at everything. Total stranger got to see the goods."

Chloe squirmed slightly in her chair. The flush hasn't quite faded from her cheeks, and nor had her smile.

"Easy for when you do the repeat," Chloe said. "Get some snacks we can keep. Going to be rewinding?"

There was a momentary pause. Then Max shifted, staring at Chloe more fully. She still kept the blanket wrapped tightly around herself, cheeks still blazing and voice still shaking slightly despite her attempts to stay firm.

"No," Max said.

Chloe glanced at her, frowning.

"N-no," Max said again. "I- I won't be rewinding. I-if you want to keep driving to places, it's going to be as real for you as it is for me, if we're stuck like this. I don't want you to keep risking us getting seen just because you're only thinking of the fantasy."

Chloe hesitated for a moment. She still didn't quite crossed her arms, though she did shift in her chair.

"Shit Max, you could've said before I just showed off everything," Chloe said. Her head was still buzzing with the adrenaline, still not fully taking on board what Max had said.

Max flushed.

How does Chloe react to the knowledge her last exposure was real?
