Phineas storms out

Phineas was so mad, but he couldn’t do anything so he stormed out, punching the door on his way out as Vortigan roared with laughter. “That’s what I thought! Let me know when you become a real man!”

Phineas growled as he left Vortigan basking in his chambers. “Phineas? What did he say?”

Phineas felt his heart break as he gazed at Lady Antoinette, one of the most beautiful, innocent girls he knew. She had long ginger hair, big green eyes, and freckles that dotted her face. She had approached him asking about Vortigan, unaware of his disgusting personality. Phineas didn’t have the heart to tell her. “I’m sorry, Lady Ana. Vortigan is… busy,” Phineas said.

Antoinette frowned. She felt her shoulders slouch as she realized what Phineas was saying. “I don’t get it… he was so charming when we met,” Antoinette said.

“You met him?” Phineas said. “Before?”

“He was in the market. He was talking about how he was getting ready to become king. And he told me that he thought I was beautiful and wanted to make me his queen,” Antoinette said.

“I’m sorry, Ana,” Phineas said. “I think my brother led you astray. He has no interest for anyone but himself.”

“Oh…” Antoinette said, frowning. “So… so I guess he has no interest in me.”

“I’m afraid not,” Phineas said. “But a beautiful lady like you shouldn’t be sad. The prat will learn his lesson.”

“What if I go talk to him?” Antoinette asked.

“I’m not sure that’s a good idea…” Phineas said.

“Nonsense,” Antoinette said as she pushed by Phineas. “Surely he’s at least a man who wouldn’t turn down a lady so hastily.”

Antoinette swayed her hips as she walked towards Vortigan’s chambers. Phineas frowned uncertain if he should let Antoinette continue, but ultimately watched as Antoinette headed inside.
