Phase Two (Emmaline Trips Up)

As the dust settled from the massive, fire-y explosion Emmaline had summoned, Gnolls were already starting to stream from the mouth of the cave. Emmaline estimated about a dozen or so of the furry abominations, and they all quickly had their eyes set on her.

All according to plan, Emmaline thought to herself, giving a particularly girlish wave and a wink to the Gnolls before turning to hurry off into the forest. The Gnolls quickly gave chase, following her right past the bushes that Becky and Fuu were hiding behind, none the wiser to the presence of the other two Bravos.

Emmaline continued leading them off through the treeline, dodging and ducking around branches, jumping over logs and rocks, aiming to make it as difficult as possible for the Gnolls to keep up with her.

Unfortunately, as she was bounding over a particularly tall and uneven boulder, Emmaline's foot caught on some loose rubble. Rather than elegantly and nimbly vaulting over the rock, Emmaline came crashing down. Her eyes widened in shock as the rock that was supposed to help her escape instead slammed into her stomach, completely knocking the wind out of her.

Groaning, Emmaline rolled onto her back, trying to pull herself together. She had to get up! She had to get moving before... before...
