You can’t send my father—since he is the head doctor and too risky to let go. I am young and might be able to learn more about what is up there. You need a medical expert up there. What if someone gets hurt?” Madeline braced for a hopeful decision.

“Your arguments are sound Madeline…but I don’t think your father would approve.” His voice took a resigned tone. “I just can’t approve—it’s too dangerous.”
