Personal: Swiftness of action trumps caution in this case.

Deciding that it was unlikely that anyone would try to listen in on a personal call to a principal, even one supposedly connected to an Irish gangster clan, Giuliana decided to use one of several burner cells she had purchased some time ago to call him.

After dialing the number it had only taken about five rings for the line to be picked up and for her to hear a quiet "Hello?" on the other end of the line.

"Don't say anything, just listen." She instructed in the quiet but stern voice of command her grandfather Angelo had practiced with her as a girl when she'd wanted her cousins to stop being mean to her.

"I have matter of mutual interest that needs to be discussed this evening. Come to the art gallery on eighth street tonight at nine thirty. Come alone and be discreet. Understood?" She said.

"I'll be sure to pick up the pictures after school Kate, don't you worry about a thing." He said, some cheer in his voice as though she were an old acquaintance he was doing a favor for. (Which to be fair, about half of that description was technically accurate.)

Giuliana's eyebrows and corners of her lips rose a bit, lending her the beginnings of a surprised smile. Apparently he was around other people but managed to get across in as innocuous a way as possible that he'd gotten her message and intended to follow through as asked.

"Than I look forward to our talk tonight Mr. Ryan." She said, allowing her voice to drop an octave just to keep him on his toes before hanging up.

Best to start prepping the bait now just so she could be prepared to hook him if he didn't prove so willing to work with her as his discretion today might've implied.
