Performing an errand

You sit quietly underneath Master for the next few minutes as he finishes up his last few papers. You perk up when you finally hear him putting away his pen and shuffling his papers one last time. When he pushes his chair away from the desk, you make sure to have your back as straight as possible. You know for a fact staying in his good graces will make your life here infinitely easier.

To your surprise, when Master looks down at you, he is reaching a handful of paperwork down at you. You do not want to talk back at him in any way, but you do look silently up at him with a puzzled look on your face.

Master instantly reads the confusion on your face. "Oh don't worry," he reassures you. "This is already all done. I just need you to hand this to the correct person to get them delivered out immediately." You look back to the small stack of papers and nod. A quick delivery is definitely something you can do.

You carefully take the papers with both hands as Master explains what you need to do. "Go through there," he begins as he points to the ornate door bordering the bookshelves. "Walk all the way to the end and give these to the receptionist. She will know what to do with them." You nod before slowly rising to your feet and making your way over.

Before you leave the thought occurs to you to ask for a towel to clean yourself up before heading out, but you quickly dismiss that idea. If Master wanted you to clean up he would have offered it already. With a deep breath you open the door and step into the hallway.
