Peaceful

When the two get back to Spencer's place, they find Amy sitting on the couch, playing with her phone.

"Hey guys." She said.

"Hey."

She then looked to Evelyn. "So how's your car?"

"Written off."

"Bummer."

After a sigh, Evelyn said "Yep."

"So Evelyn." Spencer interjected. "Wanna hit the lake?"

"Sounds like a plan. Let's go."

Evelyn followed Spencer to his shed, where a two-seated kayak was waiting for the two. "I figure it'd be best to share a kayak."

"Fine by me."

Spencer then grabbed two life jackets, handing one to Evelyn. "Just in case things go wrong."

"Of course."

As Evelyn put the jacket on, she listened to Spencer go through the basics of kayaking. On the water, she tried her best to enjoy herself, even with her frustrations swimming in her head. Why did that drunk asshole have to crash directly into her car? Why did he even get in the car in the first place? How will she afford a new vehicle? The thoughts continued to drown her mind for most of the hour they spent on the lake.

Back at the shed, Spencer said "You enjoy that?"

"Yeah. Yeah pretty relaxing." Evelyn tried her best to sound bubbly and happy.

"So, anything you wanna do?"

"You know what? A repeat of last Sunday would be great Spence."

"We can do that."
