Paying up

The pair left the 18th green on the trail of the blondes carts. It was about to be decision time.

“How do we want to go?” Rene asked hiding quickly behind a tree. Kait came up beside her.

“We could go around the outside of the course… but that would take forever and the parts of it that aren’t people’s backyards are main roads…” the brunette pondered aloud.

“We could follow the cart path.” Rene didn’t sound so sure about that option either as she looked at the winding path of concrete twisting its way back towards the clubhouse in front of them. They had also forfeited their shoes to Lana and Lilian and the idea of bare feet on concrete didn’t sound very appealing. But the path was lined with trees and bushes on either side so they could potentially hide if they needed too.

“It sounds like the best plan is to just to take the most direct route back…” Kait said nervously as she looked straight ahead. She could see the clubhouses roof over the rolling hills of the course.

“I mean that’ll be quickest but…” Rene started.

“But we will have to run past the greens on 17, 15, 13, across the fairway on 16, 14, and 12 then turn right at the green on 11 and run straight down the entire fairway of 11 and up the hill to the back door of the clubhouse.” Kait finished.

“So what we’re saying is our options are long way past houses and busy roads… long way past every single hole with no shoes on concrete, but maybe the chance to hide… or straight past everyone playing holes 11 thru 17 but be done the quickest?”

“Fuck! How did we lose to those two bimbos!?!” Kait cried out.

“Shhh!” Rene quieted her friend as she pointed along the cart path. A pair of carts both with frat guys was rolling along towards them.

“We need to go!” Rene looked at her friend. Kait stared back.

“Fuck it!” The brunette shouted pushing her friend out from behind the tree. “We lost fair and square. Let’s lose with our heads held high! Straight back it is!”
