Paying Respects

Deciding not to risk the house again the group turns their attention to the cemetery. As they approach the cemetery looking at the grandiose statue Maple looks a little nervous.

"What's up?" Yulia asked her and she hesitated looking up at the statue and then sighs.

"His name was Gram, he's essentially the creator of this city... Well... No, the city existed before him, but he's the one... who made us fly. He built the systems that took our city into the sky and he lead us into the technological age we now exist in. The statue represents his legendary ideal, to be able to reach the sun," Maple says and her voice is filled with awe.

"I mean reaching the sun would just burn you up-" Lri starts and Maple snaps at her.

"Metaphorically!" she responds annoyed and then sighs again as she calms down, "he's a hero to most of us and Del and I especially tried to follow in his footsteps, to improve this place and instead, we destroyed it. I feel... Nervous approaching his statue and worse his resting place, though there is another reason," she admits.

"He's buried in there, but that's not all. The central power system is also hidden here. The controls for all the cities power is in Admin, but the source of it is here, buried with him," she explains.

"Wait so we could shut down all the power to the city, deactivate Sally and all the other robots, just by removing this power source," Yulia asks and Maple hesitantly nods.

"Why don't we just do that then?" Yulia asks.

"Because it's the source of all the power in the city, including the engines that keep this city floating, if we shut it down the city will fall out of the sky, maybe not immediately, since there is some residual power in the engines while they're working, but eventually it will fall," she explains.

"Oh... That seems like a bad idea," Yulia responds.

They reach the mausoleum, looking up at the statue and then to the door of the mausoleum, it's closed and locked.

"That being said, aside from the power source there are other things inside there, possibly something useful, all sorts of old inventions and the like that were left either unfinished or just abandoned upon his ****," Maple explains, "I want to make it clear I am against grave robbing, especially robbing the grave of my personal hero, but... I won't stop you if you think it's worth it," she says shuffling nervously as she stares up at the statue of Gram.

"I can't say I'm really a fan of grave robbing either..." Yulia adds.

"It's probably safe to return to the workshop by now," Maple adds hopefully.
