Syd perfectly understood that he had assaulted this woman because of his lust, he also recognized that Dahlia's current "love" for him had more in common with **** addiction than actual affection so he wasn't going to pretend like whatever the two of them had was based in actual love, despite this he was unwilling to let her go, her existence brought him comfort, comfort he hadn't felt ever since arriving in this world or perhaps even before that, he wasn't about to lose that just cause it was "perverse". Still, he wasn't going to just use Dahlia like some object, their relationship might be a mockery of real love but he was committed to feeling pleasure together with her. With these thoughts, he immediately changed back into a flower and moved to place his [Mark of Submission] on her not because he felt any need to further submit her to his will but as a proof of commitment, something akin to an engagement ring, a symbol of their bond.

Dahlia remained unfazed by the sudden transformation and somehow seemed to understand Syd's intentions let him get closer and put the mark on her without any resistance. Once Syd was done so, she affectionately started stroking Symbol in her abdomen trying to fully take in its shape and texture, this sight was certainly arousing but more than that it made Syd happy even though he wasn't sure why. He then turned back to his human form and wanting to hear her opinion on what to do next, proceeded to share his story with her. He avoided mentioning his past life or the two goddesses save for the mission they had entrusted him but shared his encounter with Ariel.

Despite Syd's extremely poor language skills Dahlia sat there listening to his story attentively and even helping him express his thoughts at times.
