Chapter 4 by wicker wicker

Is the coast clear?

Part of Paula's Plan

Paula had thought ahead. She knew there was only one small grocery store/gas station within 20 miles of this camp, and not only had she gone and bought out the only two cans of tomato juice the store had, but she had paid off the owner.

The girls made it back to their cabin. None of them wanted to put on any clothes as the smell would transfer to their fine clothing. Zoey volunteered to put on a pair of panties and a bathrobe and drive to the nearest store. She grabbed her purse and drove off with all the windows rolled down.

At the store, a customer passed her as she entered. "Whew!" said the customer as she fanned her nose. Zoe looked for the tomato juice.

"Can I hep ya?" asked the owner who was behind the counter.

"Yeah, have any tomato sauce?"

"Nah, fresh out. Not much call for it around here?"

"Really? What do you do when you're sprayed by skunks?"

"We have a home remedy. Works ten times better than that tomato juice."

"Really?" Zoey ran to the counter. "Have any?"

"Yep, one batch left."

"I'll take it! How much?"

"How much ya got?"

"What?"

"It's worth every penny you have on you. Like I said, last batch. Take it or leave it."

"Fine!" Zoey emptied her wallet as the woman reached under the counter and produced give gallon bucket. "Rub it in. It stinks, but the smells counteract. It's like that sciency stuff, ya know, bases and acids and stuff neutralizing each other. Guaranteed or your money back, stinky."

Zoey glared at the woman. "This better work!" She lugged the tub back to her car.

The tub was filled with garlic powder, crushed garlic, pureed onions, petroleum jelly, chocolate sauce, butter milk, cottage cheese, limburger cheese, and maple syrup. There was enough petroleum jelly to make it nearly waterproof and very hard to wash off.
