Which Part?

Part VI: The Outbreak – The first Epidemic of Virus SDR1

Synopsis:

There were few survivors from the Rocky Mountains secret facility, one of whom was infected. Back to Seattle, he spreads the infection and the city soon turns into a zombie nightmare. That’s where our main heroes fight for their survival and wonders what’s happening. That’s also where they meet our heroes from Portland, who came to Seatle after escaping the first epidemic of the less menacing SD1 virus.

As a side note, because zombies can be killed by blowing up their brains, worms and slugs eat them up and get infected. As they then get into buried dead bodies in the cemeteries, these are no longer safe places for the dead rises up from their tombs and sets deadly traps to uncareful visitors.

Our heroine does fall prey to such a trap in a cemetery and, taken by surprise, is bound to the ground and **** by the undead, receiving their seed deep into her. She’s in shock. When her friends finally overcome the zombies to take care of her, they find her in spasms. They bring her to the nearest hospital, but it is already devastated and nobody wants to take the risk of healing her. Her friends **** their entrance and try to figure out what to do.

Our heroine doesn’t seem to react like most other people – she’s in immediate fever, as if her system was fighting the infection with no latency. Then she falls in coma. Half the group leaves to seek help from a doctor, and meanwhile zombies find them and attack.

Fortunately, a commando is there saving lives they can, and they find them. They are brought to a medic camp in the suburb, to take care of the heroine who doesn’t seem to be reacting like an infected. That attracts the attention of an Illuminati affiliate undercover among the forces, and he arranges to kidnap the heroine.

Alone in a secret location, in coma, she’s used to gain better understanding of the illness and the way she reacts to it gives them hope to develop an antidote… for the elite. She’s subject to experiments. She’s found to be fighting against the SDR1 virus strongly, but she’s about to lose the battle, as signs of degenerescence tend to appear. Researchers give her a little boost with an experimental chemical never yet used on humans – a compound that is instable and favors mutations while giving strength to the immune system. The result is a merging of the virus with the heroine’s DNA, a complete fusion giving her regenerative power over injuries. Her health improves. And she moves out of coma.

Captive in a cell, she’s observed. An experiment is set. She’s bound solidly, and a captured zombie is introduced. She’s taken advantage of and the zombie joyfully releases his seed into her. This time, the heroine seems not to react at all to the impregnation, other than being frighten to ****, and when she’s released to let her fight her aggressor with bare arms, sending in two dogs to make it harder, injuries and scars are observed to heal by themselves. The experiment seems very concluding and the higher direction is informed.

The heroine is gassed and blood samples are taken to work on a vaccine, which is successful, but kept to the benefit of the few. They plan on selling it at high price further down the road when things worsen up a bit and people desperately want it. That will also allows for a major big scale vaccinating operation that will ease the general spreading of implants, as long as they keep the control of the whole operation. All should be ready within 18 months.

Additional cells are also taken from the heroine to clone her, if the need be for various purposes, be it embryo stem cells, additional blood production, or something else yet to think of.

Regarding the heroine, her memory of the past few weeks is erased and she’s released in nature, after being properly implanted a localization device along with the regular implant injected to the vaccinated. (Some details may be omitted for the purpose of creating surprise in future adventures, like this implant might be discovered by the reader later on when the Illuminati makes use of it, or when the heroine finds out about it.)

Actually, she’s not really released. In order to create false memories for her, she’s woken up just a little bit, just enough to keep her in a fuzzy state. She’s abused, and then put to sleep. When she wakes up, loosely tied up in the forest, she has vague impressions, and progressively her mind rebuilds her memories as ones of being kidnapped and abused before being left alone. These have replaced in her mind what truly happened since the episode in the cemetery.

She walks days before finding refuge, an abandoned house haunted by zombies. Eventually, she reaches back her friends and they find their way back together.
