Part 8 Afterword

Hey everyone! It’s Somburliss again, ready to blab some more about the story. You don’t have to read this chapter if you don’t want to, but there’s a poll at the bottom if you’d like to participate!

Again, the support from everyone is really appreciated! Thank you for leaving your kind comments about the story. I really enjoy writing when I know that others are enjoying it too. I’ll keep on plugging away so that I can bring you all more of Emilia’s (mis)adventures, so please stay tuned. Thank you again!

In my last afterword, I promised that Part 8 would be more “normal” compared to Part 7. Personally, I think I managed to do exactly that. Emilia went to a new city, took on a Gym, and saw the sights. No underground facilities or criminal organizations this time around. I hope everyone enjoyed it! Though there was one thing that was different from usual, and that was the duo that Emilia formed with Surge in order to beat the Gym. Emilia has done duo battles with Officer Jenny and Gina before, but she’s never gone up against a Gym Leader with an ally. It was challenging to think up all of the exact circumstances and interactions to make things play out the way they did, but I had a lot of fun with it! I love the way the relationships between Emilia, Surge, and Brooke turned out, and how the mighty strip club extracted its humiliating toll from all of them. The sexfight between Emilia and Surge was a personal favorite of mine. It was also fun to have Emilia share the dominance of her victory, as well as the disgrace of her defeat. I hope everyone else enjoyed it too!

Something else I did, which I’m hoping was engaging and amusing, not annoying or eye-rollingly obnoxious, was carry some concepts throughout all of Part 8 in order to create a slight sort of “theme”. Emilia starts by encountering a nerd and calling him a loser, only to end up being called a loser by Marie, and getting fucked by that very same “loser” nerd from earlier. Then she goes to the Gym, where both she and Surge call Brooke a loser, despite her “cool womanizer” persona. Part 8 also starts with a potential Bad End where Emilia gets fucked by a virgin and impregnated. In the museum scene, Grey ends up being claimed as that nerd’s first time instead. But, once they beat the Gym, Emilia and Surge get to take Brooke’s various virginities live on stage. So, again, I hope those tie-ins from scene to scene made the story funnier, more enjoyable, and maybe even a bit hotter.

Now it’s time for the not fun part… writing speed. I’ll start by saying I did get Part 8 out faster than Part 7. While it took about 1 year and 5 months before Part 7 was published, Part 8 only took 1 year and 3.5 months. That’s a slight improvement, so I’m happy about that. Still, I think I can (and should) do even better. As always, I’ll be working on getting the next Part out in a more timely manner.

On to the poll! This time around, I don’t have any concerns about the tone of the story, and I don’t feel like I was using any unusual writing techniques to gather opinions about. I’m only running a character popularity poll which is, once again, just for fun. Hopefully that’s clear from the fact that I included Surge and Grey in Part 8, despite them being in the bottom half of the last poll’s results. I set a minimum of 3 choices this time to make sure nobody mistakes it for a single choice poll, but feel free to vote for as many choices as you want. Remember, I’m looking for all the characters which you’ve enjoyed reading about, whether it’s because you like their personality, you like how they behave in smut scenes, you like how they act as an antagonist to Emilia, or whatever else makes you like them.
