Pakistan
Even though Misastan was not yet finished, the call had come to Mohammad. They thought there might be some progress to be made in the seemingly eternal struggle against the Taliban. And the tribal leaders felt Mohammad might be the best leader for a movement to take them down and replace a strict and irrational regime with merely a strict regime.
So four months after they married, and four months pregnant, the retinue made its way to Pakistan. It included Mohammad, Carrie, Ali, Lindsay, Ayesha, and Fatima, and several other male Arabic men that Carrie was not allowed to converse with. It was scary, but exciting. A land she had dreamed of for years now, almost within her grasp.
