“I’m here to take care of a pet,” you say confident.

It was a fantasy of yours to take care of something cute and cuddly for a long time. And tonight is the night you are going to do so.

“Very good,” the girl says and hands you a few papers, “actually a shame. I would have adopted you. Please fill in your name. Are you here alone or with a partner. If your partner is your pet she get’s in for free.”

“Sadly I’m alone,” you answer and shrug your shoulder, “but if you want, I could take care of a cute girl like you. You would make a beautiful pet.”

“Tempting, but I’m already an owner,” the girl says smiling and hands you another paper, “I will attend the event after everyone is registered. In the new paper you can fill in what you search. You can adopt a homeless pet, the guys in the fenced area, for the evening once everyone is registered. If you match with a pet we bring you together and see if you like each other. Have fun!”

You nod and enter the club. Looking back you see you have some time until the adoption starts. It’s good to know the organists of this event bring singles and new ones together. You know that on a lot of these events the older, experienced members build their groups immediately and new members stand aside and have no chance to participate.

Well, since you have some time, you could try to mingle with the other guests or have a look at the pets. You also could buy a drink or visit a small shop for gear and equipment you haven’t seen before.
