Overwhelming greetings

By the time the rest of the girls arrive home, you and Sirona have dressed and moved to the living room. The manticore is happy to sit in silence and watch tv, as long as you cuddle with her. She hasn’t stopped smiling since you left the bedroom, and it makes you happy to see. Though she doesn’t say much, you can practically feel the happiness radiating off of her.

When the front door swings open and you hear the girls all talking, Sirona tenses. You give her a comforting squeeze, and she relaxes, but you can see nervousness in her wide pink eyes. The first through the door is Mazzy, of course, and the little halfling wastes no time in rushing over to the living room. She looks between you and Sirona and smiles.

“You two look comfortable already. Hi Sirona, welcome home!”

Sirona blushes, looking down. “Hi…um, thanks, Mazzy.”

Mazzy smiles wider. “You’re adorable! Don’t worry, we’ll cure you of the shyness, at least around us. Just ask Ellie!”

As if summoned by her name, the goblin girl walks in, looking almost as nervous as Sirona, somehow. With a wave, she shyly smiles at the manticore, who gives a small wave back. You laugh, shaking your head.

“You two…that’s really cute, but there’s no reason to be shy with each other. After all, Sirona is family now, right?”

Sirona looks at you, startled out of her nervousness. “Family? You…I’m a part of the family? So soon?”

You chuckle, and give her a kiss, causing her to blush once again. “Of course you are. After what we did, I’d say we’re pretty close now, don’t you?”

She gasps, her eyes wide. “Brian! Are you really…in front of everyone?!”

Mazzy giggles. “It’s not like we have any secrets when it comes to sex. Don’t worry, you’ll get used to it!”

Dakota comes bounding into the room. “Ooh, is it time to interrogate the new girl? Can’t start without me!”

She stops short and stares at Sirona. “Oh wow, you’re so pretty! And your eyes, I’ve never seen pink eyes before. And your wings are cool, you’re all feathery, and your tail…hey, I heard things about manticore tails…”

Sirona blushes again, seemingly overwhelmed by Dakota’s intensity. You chuckle again, letting her snuggle against you for comfort. Before anyone can respond to Dakota’s questions, though, you hear Kenna’s voice from the doorway, sounding a mixture of Annie’s and amused.

“I see how it is, run and meet the new girl while poor Kenna does all the work. Don’t worry, I’m strong, I can do it myself!”

You chuckle. “Let’s go help her, or we’ll never hear the end of it.”

Sirona puts a hand on your arm. “I can help too. I may not look it, but…I’m really strong. Can I help?”

You smile. “Of course. Another strong pair of arms is always useful.”

She jumps up from the couch, rushing towards the door. Dakota laughs. “I think I made her a bit uncomfortable. Sorry, I just got excited.”

You shrug. “It’s fine, just give her a little bit of time to get used to it before asking anatomy questions, maybe?”

Dakota giggles. “You’re not curious about the tail?”

You roll your eyes. “She’ll talk about it when she’s ready. There’s no rush.”

Mazzy nods. “I agree. Let’s make her feel comfortable first.”

Ellie smiles. “L-like you did with me. B-be gentle.”

You smile back at the little goblin. “Exactly.”

You hear Kenna exclaim from outside. “Oh! You must be Sirona! Brian has told us so much about you! I like you already, coming out to help the poor dragon girl. Unlike EVERYONE ELSE!”

You laugh, shaking your head as you walk towards the door. You can hear Sirona’s halting reply, and you wave the other girls after you.
