Chapter 94 by Bengates
Prompt: Continue with part 2 of the battle. Jake beats on her a bit as they trade dialogue. Then Jake subdues her and declares "I'll make you ready. This is just the beginning."
Overconfident 2ndary character gets beat to @#$% by the OP main character, ah it's been done a million times.
As she struggled to the surface, trying to catch her breath and regain her bearings, Valkyria felt a flood of emotions wash over her. Fear, anger, confusion, pain, and disbelief warred within her, leaving her feeling unmoored and adrift. She struggled to rise from the water, coughing and sputtering, her muscles weak and aching, and found to her surprise that she could stand on the water’s shifting surface.
Just as she was catching her breath, she felt a powerful aura behind her. She turned around and saw Jake standing there, his hands behind his back, a wicked grin on his face. "My, my, my," he tutted, shaking his head. "You really are something else, aren't you? It's been a long time since I've had such a good fight."
Valkyria tensed, feeling a sudden surge of fear. Jake had proved himself to be a formidable opponent, and she knew that this fight was far from over. "What do you want from me?" she demanded, her voice shaking with anger and fear.
Jake's grin widened. "I want to see just how far you can go," he said, his voice filled with malice. "I want to see if you're really as powerful as you think you are."
Valkyria snarled, her hands flexing into claws. "I'll show you just how powerful I am," she growled, launching herself at Jake with blinding speed.
Jake sidestepped her attack with ease, dodging her claws and landing a powerful blow to her side. Valkyria gasped in pain, feeling her ribs crack under the **** of his blow. She stumbled backward, her eyes wide with shock and pain.
"You're too slow," Jake said, his voice dripping with condescension. "You need to be faster if you want to beat me."
Valkyria gritted her teeth, her eyes blazing with determination. She wasn't going to give up, no matter what. She charged at Jake again, her movements faster and more precise this time.
But Jake was ready for her. He dodged her attacks effortlessly, his movements smooth and graceful. He was like a dancer, moving with a fluidity that seemed almost supernatural.
Valkyria growled in frustration, feeling her anger building to a boiling point. She was sick of playing defense, sick of letting Jake dictate the terms of the fight. She launched herself at him with all her strength, her movements a blur of silver and blue.
Jake was caught off guard by her sudden attack, and for a moment he stumbled, his balance thrown off. Valkyria seized the opportunity, slamming her claws into his chest with all her strength.
But even as she struck him, she knew it was a mistake. Jake was faster and stronger than she was, and he had already recovered from her attack. He grabbed her by the arm, twisting it behind her back and slamming her face-first into the ground.
Valkyria cried out in pain, feeling her nose break under the **** of the impact. She struggled to get free, but Jake was too strong. He pinned her to the ground with one hand, his other hand glowing with a bright blue light.
"You're not ready for this," he said, his voice cold and emotionless. "But I'll make you ready. This is just the beginning."
With that, he plunged his hand into her back, sending a surge of magic coursing through her body. Valkyria screamed in agony, feeling as though every nerve in her body was on fire. She thrashed and writhed, trying to get free, but Jake held her down with an iron grip.
Prompt: Jake begins to taunt her about her willpower, determination, and inability to break free. He is killing her, and she will burn up from the inside if she can't escape. She eventually repels him, remember to damage the city!
