Outsmart Them

Thinking on what to do, you decide to sneak up on them and use the element of surprise. Silently, you quickly half-crouch and move across the hall. Successfully getting to the ladder, you climb up, and reach the balcony. Overlooking the entire hall, you are caught in surprise. The Hall was absolutely massive with the entrance almost a half-mile away, with a gigantic obsidian door standing slightly ajar. You presume that's where the hero's entered. Gathering your wits, you look down onto the party and decide on which one to target. Thinking clearly, you choose to try and get rid of the back line, who stupidly enough, the goblins weren't even targeting. Walking quietly, you reach over the balcony with the small obsidian stick, and think upon the spell Dark Bind. Arcane glyphs appear in your mind, and you Will the word to bind the mage. Appearing underneath the entire party, a large shadow emerged, covering underneath the entire fight in darkness.

Before anyone had a chance to notice, thick tendrils of shadow erected from the ground, and instantly coiled around the female Mage. "What the h-", she barely said before her mouth was covered. Contrary to your expectation, the roots moved and coiled around the other members as well. The thief in this brief moment felt something and tried to dodge, but to no avail, as more tendrils rose and caught her, binding her completely. Trying to resist, the Paladin fought bravely, casting holy spells to try and evaporate the darkness, but it was to no avail. Soon they were bound tightly, locked in place by countless tendrils. The Bezerker had over 15 tendrils grabbing onto his arms and legs, but was still thrashing about and killed one of the orcs. The other orc raised his ax, and swiftly chopped down. Before he slashed the Bezerker, however, the tendrils enveloped him, including the rest of the goblins.

"Wow...", you mutter softly, amazed at how powerful your spell was. Briefly, you felt a flash of memory enter your mind. There was a man clad completely in black, seeming to teach to a man, entirely enveloped in ebony armor. Before you can react, it disappeared. Thinking on it, you decide to ask your Master later. That moment a deep, and pleased laughter rang throughout the entire Hall. "To capture all of them, I am very pleased. It was well worth letting them inside my home. Come now, along with your prisoners.". You hear your Master's voice ring through the Hall, and suddenly you feel yourself hurled through space. Feeling yourself get catapulted through the Darkness, you feel both nostalgia and nausea.

Suddenly, your vision is assailed by light, as you find yourself in a large room. Sitting on a throne atop a pedestal, sat the Dark Lord, your Master, on a large and ornate raven throne. The throne pulsated as if it was alive, though things of this nature were no more disgusting as where your soul resided. Kneeling to Him, you see is quite pleased. You find subservience to always make him in a good mood. "Rise, my minion.". Getting up, you notice all of the heroes were behind you, along with your tendrils. The surviving orc and the goblins were also there, tied with the heroes. Willing the dark mass, the other minions were released of their bindings, and they all scampered through the door, seemingly scared of you, or rather what binded them.

Sitting slouched in the chair to the side, your Master seemed quite carefree. "I am quite glad, my minion. You turned out to be better than I could have hoped. Though His genes most definitely help." "His genes?", you inquired."An old tale, one that I have no intent on telling at the current moment". Feeling his slight displeasure, you quiet, and wait for your Master to speak again. "Good. Because of how you passed this test of mine, I am feeling very generous. You may pick any one of the ones you captured as your concubine. The males will be used for materials, and the females will be sent to the Breeding Grounds. Now choose, which one do you want?".
