Where exactly on Earth did the Lamp land, and who finds it?
Outside the home of Kevin, a 30-year-old asexual man
Kevin was in the middle of cleaning his bathroom when he heard the thud. It sounded as if something had struck the wall of his townhouse apartment, and from how loud the sound was it must have been traveling quite fast. After getting over his own shock, the next thing he heard was the sound of his cat, Mittens, sprinting across the floor having clearly been startled. Kevin sighed, took off his gloves and went to go comfort the creature. Once she'd calmed down, Kevin put on some shoes and grabbed his phone to go investigate the noise.
Kevin went outside and saw a decent dent in the siding and started taking pictures to send to the landlord for repairs. He was so preoccupied with the damage that he nearly missed the small metal object embedded in the dirt nearby. Deducing this was the source of the impact, he pried it up and took some pictures of it, too. It was hard to make out what it was, however, due to the dirt, so he decided to bring the object inside and clean it up a bit to get a better look. He turned on the faucet in his bathtub and started to rinse and rub the grime off when, all of a sudden...
