Out in the cold

You step out of the chamber and are almost blinded by the snow reflecting the sun's light. You wince in pain and take a moment for your eyes to adjust so you can properly take in your surroundings.

Two areas of interest stick out to you. You could follow along the coast, hoping to run into a settlement. Someone left that gear in the chamber, perhaps they are close by, and if there are people living here, fishing would be their main source of food.

Or you can try to head through the valley in-between the mountains you can see in the distance. You need to get through and onward to the next floor and blitzing through seems like a sensible option.

The ice and snow is very compact so you should be able to make great time with either route.
