Orbital Elevator Defense Systems [Technology]

Each Geostationary High Orbital Station has Over Two Billion Permanent Inhabitants as well as it's own Military equipped with Mobile Suits, I-Weapons, and Satellite-Based Weaponry.

Each Orbital Elevator is protected by an array of Satellite-Based Directed Energy-Beam Weapons:

• 250 Ion Particle Beam Platforms: These Weapon Platforms orbit The Earth and with a Range Versus Target Alignment Error of Ten to The Negative Tenth each platform is capable of destroying an area of up to a Thousand-Meter Radius.
• 50 Orbital Weapon Lancets (OWLs): A Type of Kinetic Energy Weapon placed in Earth orbit. It fires a Class of Kinetic Kill Projectiles known as Lancets - Essentially guided steel telephone poles tipped with a chemical warhead. They're designed to fall from low Earth orbit and punch a hole in the ground, through several hundred feet of dirt, reinforced concrete and even steel. They then incinerate anything within the relatively small but very deep impact crater...

The Elevator's themselves are also outfitted with a number of High Collimation Charged Particle Beam Weapons. First and foremost among these are The Momento Mori, A Free Electron Laser Strafing Satellite Weapon with access to The Orbital Ring's Particle Accelerator and capable of eradicating everything within a Thousand-Mile Radius.

Next, The Orbital Elevator's are also equipped with a formidable array of Railguns (High-Velocity Kinetic Projectile Weapons). These Railguns use Powerful Electromagnetic Fields to propel a Solid Tungsten Carbide Slug at a Velocity of Mach 8.5 (6,471.029 Miles Per Hour) at a Distance of 250,000 Miles. The Standard Magazine carries Ten Thousand Rounds, with the gun itself firing at a rate of 500 rounds per minute. One standard magazine should therefore, allow for twenty minutes of sustained fire. Originally, The Railguns were equipped with Electromagnetic Flux Compression Generators but they were eventually retrofitted with Mark II Naquadah-Enhanced Generators to increase the weapons output by 600 Percent.

Third, The Orbital Elevator is fitted with Thirteen 18 Megajoule Multiburst Particle Beam Weapons, Satellite-Based Electromagnetic Pulse Arrays, and D.E.D.'s (Directed E.M.P. Devices) that when fired together are capable of creating a Tachyon Surge at 38,000 Cycles per Millisecond creating a rip in The Space-Time Continuum.
