Option Two- Three Triangles

WARNING- This story takes place in the post-Age of Calamity world and has spoilers for that game. You’ve been warned.

“So, you are interested in this world?” the AI asked. “It’s a fascinating one. I’m going to drop you in the timeline right after the events of the world, Hyrule, were changed forever. See, there was a time when the evil guy won, but a creature went back in time and changed what happened… You know what, there’s too much here. Suffice it to say there’s monsters, there’s an evil guy, there’s a hero named Link, and a ton of pussy, ok? Just step through the portal and you’ll see.”

Samus steps through the portal and comes out in a desert. It’s scorching hot and she looks down at her suit, which has reshaped itself into armor of a sort. She’s wearing a golden metal bikini, which barely keeps her breasts contained, and a skimpy skirt that is cut so she almost shows her entire right leg, but her left leg is almost covered. She’s holding a scimitar and a shield and, closeby, she can hear the sounds of fighting. A woman is yelling and she hears the clashing of weapons. Samus walks towards the sound, intrigued, and crests a small dune. On the other side is a woman with tanish-brown skin, long red hair, and, strangely enough, bright blue lips fighting a few… tan sand lizards? She’s not exactly sure what they are but Samus roars and charges in, catching the lizards by surprise. She deftly cuts one before they reposition and she and the woman end up back to back. They fight this way against the lizards for a few minutes before the lizards cut and run, leaving behind their dead. Samus, covered in sweat and can’t believing how hot this place is, turns to face her new friend.

“I thank you for your timely arrival but I did not need your assistance!” The woman said.

Samus is a bit taken aback. “What do you mean? I figured you could use a hand.”

“Urbosa needs help from no one!” the woman, Urbosa, said. “I came out here to clean up this group of lizafols and now some of them have gotten away because of you! Now I have to chase them. I haven’t had a good fight in a couple of years and now you ruined this one.”

Samus, a bit taken aback, decides to introduce herself. “Well, I’m Samus, and I’d like to help clean up this mess then. Can you tell me what’s going on?”

Urbosa sighs but gestures her along. “Well, since we defeated Calamity Ganon six years ago, things have changed. King Rhoam led the victorious forces against the remnants of Ganon’s army and we crushed them in a long campaign that took almost four years. We’ve been wiping out small bands of monsters that are left and this is the first band we’ve seen around here in almost six months. I told everyone I’d handle it. It’s not like I have much to do anymore. Riju’s 18 now and is a better chieftain then I was, so I’m thinking about stepping down. I figured I could kill these monsters and call it my “retirement.””

As Urbosa is saying this she starts heading off in the direction the lizafols fled in and Samus follows along, her mind catching up on events. Pieces fall into place and she realizes what happened. This woman is the HEAD of a entire people, the Gerudo. Interesting that she’d find her here.

“Anyways, who are you? What’s your story? I don’t think I’ve seen you around before, though you are wearing our garb.” Urbosa says.
