Chapter 7 by brambank brambank

What should Leanne do?

Open the doors

Leanne figured she may as well see where she was. If only to avoid the risk of going back to the freak in the clown costume. She was still annoyed and creeped out by the sinister weirdo in equal measure. She got to her feet and pushed the door release button. After a brief pause the heavy metal doors slid open and revealed Leanne's new surroundings.

It was darker than it had been on the other levels. There were only a handful of small bulbs creating any light and no windows as far as she could see. It appeared to be one large room with stacks of boxes and other things piled high around the edge.

Cautiously she stepped out into the gloom. Peering around her she could see no sign of life, which thankfully included no creepy clowns. She thought about heading back in the lift but decided she may as well have a look around for a while. She wasn't even sure if the lift would take her where she wanted to anyway.

Walking amongst the dusty contents of the room Leanne saw several bookcases stuffed with thick novels and random scraps of paper. Some of the books looked really old. She inspected one of the nearby boxes and was surprised to find a selection of toys inside. "This must be the residents' belongings," she mused aloud. Continuing her exploration Leanne came across another box containing some more familiar items. "This is just like the stuff I used to play with at my gran's house." she observed, picking up random items and inspecting them closely.

As she bent over digging through the large box of goods she suddenly felt something against her rear. She gave a sharp shriek at what felt like someone groping her but peering around the large room there was no sign of anyone else. Figuring it must have just been her imagination Leanne returned her attention to the box. But as soon as her tight arse was stuck inviting out she felt the contact once more.

"Is... Is someone there?" she called out anxiously. There was silence. The room eerily still. Leanne began to walk around again, watching closely for any movement. "Must just be my imagination," she announced to no-one in particular. "This place does seem awfully familiar though."

Talking to herself did at least help comfort her a little. But the large gloomy room was starting to play tricks on her mind. It reminded her of her grandparents' house where she used to play as a child. But that was impossible. Wasn't it?

The creepy feeling was starting to grow and Leanne looked around her uncomfortably at the shadowy places among the boxes. She could only guess what might be lurking in the darkness. "Maybe I should head back?"

What should Leanne do?
