"Am I reading this right?" Reader asked after a while. "Twenty-four to one ratio of women to men among 'civilised races' plus 'uncounted' monstergirls?"

The goddess gave an embarrassed giggle. "That's some of my earliest work. I'd been really exploring my harem fetish at the time and just went ham putting in everything related into one universe. The thrill of fighting for a man's attention, knowing you had to co-operate with a few women to protect him against the perversions of others, the **** need to make every thrust perfect on those rare, fiery couplings-" She broke off, looking at him sheepishly. "Humans write cringy fanfic when they're at that stage, goddesses... well..."

She took the dossier from him and began paging through, looking at it thoughtfully. "I'm surprised this hasn't fallen yet actually. I haven't thought about it much lately, but given how effectively demons use human libido against us in the later stages of overcrowding, this... this could have potential."

She looked at Reader hopefully as she passed the dossier back. He took it and began reading.

"So this would be a standard, high fantasy adventure with elements of a harem rom-com?" he asked, setting the folder down once he was all the way through. "I'd get dropped in a major, relatively safe city in my present form and have to build an adventuring party, learn spells and combat, get more powerful, and eventually defeat the three demon queens-"

"Three Queens?!" The goddess snatched the folder from him and read, a slightly incredulous look stealing over her features as she did. She handed it back, a bemused but pleased expression on her face.

"I seem to have lucked into something there. You have the right of it, and this world just got more interesting. It would be great if you took it, knowing what we know about it"

"What do we know about it?" he asked, curious.

The goddess prevaricated. "That it's preoccupying the demons. They're getting in each other's way somehow, and they're failing to crush the human spirit. I couldn't really tell you more just now, this is an unexpected but welcome surprise".

"What if I fail?" Reader asked.

"Then you end up back here and I hand you another binder. The good thing about being a hero, once you start it's kind of hard to stop. And you learn more about worldbuilding fairly quickly".

"And if I win?"

"Then you rule wisely until the end of your days, and then I hand you another binder. This is most likely going to be your new gig until you decide it's time to start making your own worlds"

Reader considered, imagining the life he'd live in the world he'd just seen described. He had to admit, it was... appealing.

"You seem to like this one" the goddess said, glancing down with a blush at the outline of his half-chub. "If you want, I can send you in right now"
