Oo, weapons!

Skyler knew he should be realistic, but when would he get another chance to just try any weapon he wanted? A naughty grin appeared upon his lips as he thought of the fun he was about to have. "Can I really try any of them I want?" He gently tapped his fingertips together. "I won't get into some kind of weird trouble or end up married to someone I don't know, right?" Taki started to laugh. "No, but would it be all that bad?" She leaned in close and whispered in his ear. "I heard you made a wonderful pet."

Skyler's cheeks turned bright red. "I will admit nothing." Taki giggles softly. "Come on. I want to see which one you pick first and how well you can use it." His cheeks were still red as he slightly nods. "Right..." He looks around the room again. His eyes focusing on the fist weapons, axes, bow and arrows, and halberds. He decided to go for the first halberd he saw. Although he liked axes the most, he had never held a halberd in his life. It had a one foot long, half an inch thick, light blue mithril crescent blade bending inward axe head that stood eight inches out from the handle, a six inch spear tip at the end of the shaft, and a seven inch hook that bends down at a fifteen degree angle.

Skyler's eyes widened as he looked at the interesting design choice of a golden bamboo pole. He could see a bolt of lightning on the cover of the shaft between the axe head and hook. Taki smiles brightly. "Oo, that's a good choice. It's called, Raijin's Toothpick. It was said to have killed over ten thousand men during a single thunderstorm." He glanced at her. "Really? Interesting story. I wonder what it can do." As he picked it up, he felt a strange sensation over his body. He felt oddly strong, but also angry. With his curiosity piqued, he cast Observe on it.

Observe:

Raijin's Toothpick: Epic Quality. 30 damage + Strength Modifier, 50% chance to stun for 5 seconds to those struck by lightning. Each strike has a 25% chance to cause a lightning strike, dealing 300% additional damage as Nature. If the target is immune to this type of damage, they will take half of it as additional physical damage instead. Increases Strength and Agility by 100%, but reduces patience by 50%. Material: Lightning Bound Mithril, Raijin's Saliva, and Corrupt Bamboo. Durability 200/200.

Skyler was certain this weapon was far above his ability to control, but he felt oddly giddy. He wanted to destroy something. He threw the halberd to his right side, catching it at about a foot from the base of its six foot pole with his right hand, soon swinging it around his head. "Yes! Now this is what I'm talking about." He felt like Lu Bu from the game series, Dynasty Warriors. He felt invincible, like no one could stand in his way. Taki's eyes widened slightly as she watched him. "Are you okay, Skyler?"

Skyler started to laugh deeply in a way most villains would after talking about their evil plans or ambitions. "I'm better than okay. I feel like no one can stand in my way now!" He grinned devilishly before twirling the weapon between his hands slowly since he wasn't used to using it. He planted the base of the weapon near his right foot before gently rotating his wrist, enjoying the weight of this weapon in his hand. "This is a beautiful weapon." Taki walked over to him. A gentle look of concern upon her face. "It is, Skyler. Um, but I don't think you are ready for it."

Skyler could feel more rage building inside him. He wanted to take it by ****, but he knew that wasn't right. He was unreasonably sure he could take it from Taki, but he didn't want to hurt her. Sure, she had her people abduct him, but so far they haven't mistreated him. "Here. Before I change my mind." He said while handing the halberd to her. She gently took it with a soft smile. "It's not an easy thing to give up such a weapon. I'm proud of you, Skyler." When she took it, he felt his strength dwindle as it returned to normal, but more importantly that anger subsided.

Taki gently touched Skyler's cheek before putting the halberd back on the rack. "What will be your next choice?" He looked around the room again. "Well, I like axes." He said as his eyes settled on a simply shaped, but beautiful black three foot double headed axe with red edges, dark grey shaft, and a shiny black leather haft. He was quite surprised by the red where normally you would see a silver tinge. He reached for the axe, but this time she stopped him from touching it. She started to pout as she held his arm before letting go. "I'm sorry, but I can't let you touch that one." He cast Observe on it before looking back at her. "Why is that?"

Cabal's Visage: Rare Quality. 45 damage + Strength Modifier. Each strike deals 25% additional damage as Shadow. Shadow damage dealt this way heals the user for double. Increases all stats by 100%, but you have to fight for control of your body every 5 minutes. Each failure increases failure chance by 25%. Grants immunity to Shadow damage, but makes you **** to Holy damage. Material: Cabal's Soul Infused Dark Steel, Corrupted Dwarven Rune of Sharpening, and Black Lizardman Scales. Durability 200/200.

Taki let out a soft sigh. "A very powerful and evil man named Cabal was slain by this axe a long time ago." Skyler's mouth opened slightly as he read that information and started to nod. "Ah. Hmm, is it safe to assume he is possessing it?" Although he could have figured that out on his own, having this extra information made this assumption easier. She nodded slightly while blushing a little. "I'm ashamed to admit it, but yes." She looked down slightly. "We haven't found someone strong enough to remove it yet."

Skyler started to nibble on his bottom lip. "Do you know of an ability that can remove it?" Taki blinks several times before nodding. "Yes, but I hear it not only takes a long time to learn, but it is very difficult too." He tilted his head slightly. "May I have a look at it?" She started to giggle. "How about we talk about that after you finished looking around?" He nods slightly while looking around the room. "I'll hold you to that." His eyes settled on a slender red longbow that was about his own height. He looked to her. "Is this one safe to touch?" She nods with a little smile. "Yes." He cast Observe on it as he reached for the red wood longbow.

Observe:

Dimensional Compression Longbow. Rare Quality. 40 damage + Agility Modifier. Arrows released will instantly hit a target within 100 yd. Damage of arrows fired is increased by 500%. Requires 50 Strength and Agility to pull the string back. Material: World Tree's Twig, Red Dragon's Tendon, and Rune of Dimensional Shifting. Durability 150/150.

Skyler stopped as he read all of that information. "Another one that is too much for me." He gently picked it up and looked it over. "It's very pretty though." He said before putting it back down. Taki walked over to him, touching the middle of his back gently with her left hand. "Yeah, a lot of the weapons here are pretty powerful." She glanced around the room as her hand gently rubbed his back before looking back at him. "Is there anything else you would like to try?" He glanced around the room one more time.

Skyler saw three different fist weapons he was interested in. One reminded him of brass knuckles. The next one reminded him of a pair of gauntlets. The final set looked like a set of heavy gloves. Should he try one and simply go with that? Or be greedy and try them all?
