On the fence

"I'm not really sure." You tell her. "It sounds nice but I don't know about this place enough to make it sound nice."

"I see." She ponders. "Well I can't just let you walk away in a storm so let me call to find you a room for the night." She went for her phone.

"For the whole night?" You ask

"Yes, the storm is expected to go into the night so I'd rather not have you be pit there at 2 in the morning soaking to ****." She explains moving away to speak on the phone. You patiently wait for her to finish as you look around the room. There were cheesy family portraits and motivational works framed up around the walls, a couple of pamphlets on the small table in front of you indicated it was the office building for the manager of this community. You also believe this woman is one of the managers.

"Well good news, some people are willing to take you in for the night." She says returning to you.

"Bad news?" You ask thinking it was one of those situations.

"On the contrary there's a few people offering so you would have to decide who to stay with." She tells you handing over a note she wrote down. "These are all the people who offered to take you in for the night. Just look them over and tell me which one you'd like to stay at."

You look over the list, it was a small one but it's surprising how many people would want to take in a runaway...
