On a rooftop.

You materialize in cyberworld and find yourself crouched on a rooftop, hidden from view behind a low wall at the roof's edge. It's nighttime and you can feel a warm breeze against your skin and feel your long white hair stirring as gusts blow it around. It's amazing how real everything seems and you touch the concrete beneath your feet and brush your cheek with your fingers to test your senses. If anything your senses are more acute here in cyberworld than in real life. Nervously you slip your hand beneath the short leather skirt, one thing you hadn't thought of when equipping was underwear and your fingertips brush over your exposed labia sending thrilling tingles of pleasure through your loins. It's with a sense of disappointment you resist the urge to test the feeling in your new body and pull your hand away. There will no doubt be opportunity to explore that side of the game later and it will be much more fun to find a character to experiment with.

You look over the wall and assess your position. You are overlooking a busy commercial street, bustling with a noisy throng of pedestrians. Gaudy neon and holographic signs advertise shops wares and entertainments. Glancing at your wrist you see that you are wearing a good quality digital watch and com unit and the time reads eleven PM. you wonder what you are doing on this roof and a screen appears in mid air before you with your mission briefing.

"YOU ARE THE FOX. A FREELANCE AGENT HIRED BY A LOCAL CRIME SYNDICATE. ONE OF THE SYNDICATES UNDERBOSSES HAS DECIDED TO GO INDEPENDENT AND YOUR MISSION IS TO TERMINATE HIM. HIS BASE OF OPERATIONS IS DIRECTLY ACROSS THE STREET FROM YOUR PRESENT POSITION AND YOU KNOW HIM TO BE INSIDE." A 3d image of your target appears and you memorise his features and skip quickly through his bio.

You feel an adrenaline rush as you read the words, this game is turning out to be great. You look across the street and see the building opposite is a brothel, brightly lit signs announce it's services in lurid detail. The street entrance is a heavy steel door with a pair of armed guards wearing body armour flanking it. Scattered around the street you spot several other armed men making an attempt to look inconspicuous and failing miserably. They are obviously expecting trouble following their bosses defection from the syndicate. You study the target building, the lower windows are large a lit by red lighting. In each window a young woman, man or creature displays themselves, enticing passers by to enter the brothel. The upper floor windows of the building appear mirrored and nothing can be seen of the interior. Shifting your gaze to the roof you see the blocky shape of the roof access, only one guard appears to be stationed on the roof and at present he is scanning the street below through the scope of a large calibre sniping rifle.

You duck back behind the parapet as the sniper turns his attention to the surrounding rooftops and sweeps the rifle along the parapet you are using as cover. Your heart is racing with excitement as you narrow down your options to four choices;

1. Postpone the mission for now and go somewhere else.

2. Attempt to bluff your way in through the front door disguised as a customer or whore.

3. Check around the rear of the building for another entrance.

4. Try to enter through the roof access, if you can get there unseen and take out the sniper.
