On a 7-9, you are on the mend. You may roll to ENCOUNTER the nurse or a well-wisher. If you still have a CONSEQUENCE you may choose to stay and roll again before the next chapter. Otherwise return to a new scene in your House, in class, the banquet hall, etc.


You blink your eyes and awaken. You're in the Infirmary again. There was some dream about chasing up and down the billowing folds of a magical garment, following Nadia...oh. The Shimmering Cloak. You look round to see your practice partner asleep on another bed across the small room. You wonder if Miss Wormwood magicked her asleep like she did you, or whether she just let Nadia rest.

You're still not feeling quite yourself. Slow, tired, and confused. What was that old inspirational slogan? Aim for the stars, even if you miss, you'll hit the moon. You feel like you've made a less than gentle lunar landing.

"Well, Mister Mothwing-Marshall," Miss Wormwood says, startling you by suddenly appearing at your side, "How are you feeling this fine day?"

The Nurse, her green snake-tresses waving idly, a red forked tongue tasting the air here and there, looks at you coolly, appraising your fitness.

"Better?" you say, flustered to be put on the spot.

"Miss Sterling was asking after you," the Nurse says. "Are you feeling up to seeing her?"

You blink. "Ah, yes," you say. "I suppose I should wash and dress?"

Miss Wormwood extends a long sinewy arm. "This way," she says. "Your House's Tutor sent you a fresh robe. I shall bring it to you when you have finished your bath."

As promised, Miss Wormwood enters the little bathing house behind the Infirmary, bearing a towel and a fresh robe in the gold-trimmed brown of House Beavertail. Her snakes seem more engaged this time, looking at you and flickering their tongues. She appraises your nude form, her dark eyes lingering on your member as though considering whether she wishes to collect another bottle of your seed, like your previous visit to the Infirmary.

Perhaps the Nurse thinks better of that notion. She nods and raises her eyes to meet yours, saying, "When you're dry and dressed, Mr. Mothwing-Marshall, come out front. Miss Sterling will be there."
