On a 7-9, Jasmine's party runs late

You pour the bottom half of your bottle of light beer out into the floral groundcover and drop it in the bin.

The young lady in whose honor this party is being given is waving her hands and chatting with her friends. She looks good in her new military fatigues and short haircut. "Julie," you say, nudging your dozing friend.

"Huh?" Julie blinks her eyes.

"You going to make it to Jasmine's real party?" you ask.

"Oh, is it starting?" she says.

"Maybe not unless we get things going," you tell her. "Why don't you go whisper in her ear?"

Julie smiles. "Will do," she says. "I've got a couple other gals lined up who want to give her a personal send-off too."
