"Hey Gloria," Jasmine says, "Julie says you wanted to help give me a send-off." Her eyes are bright, her smile is broad, and her breath smells of pizza and beer. Her short black hair frames her round face charmingly, and her military fatigues suit her. You appreciate a uniform on a woman, nurse or soldier.

"Around back," Jasmine whispers.

You follow Julie around the back of the house. There's an old recreational vehicle parked under a canopy.

"This is where the real party starts," Julie says. "Jasmine's going to say goodbye to her other friends, get ready, and meet us back here."

"Who else is going to be here?" you ask.

Julie smiles at you in the darkness behind Jasmine's house. "Well, there's..." she begins.
