Older Author's Notes

(26/12/2019) Well, I have no idea if this is normal or not, but getting 500 reads and 6 favourites in 12 hours is a super nice feeling.
I've never done anything at all like this before, and this story is kind of a test run. If you have any suggestions, or anything you want to see or think could be cool, leave a comment on this page. I'll read it and respond no matter what page it's on, but why not at least give keeping it neat a go, right?
The story as it is right now is planned to be a sort of pseudo-multiple path story, where you end up in the same spots, but the way you get there might be different, and if you end up in a different spot then it's an ending, rather than a continuation. Also, since this is me kind of dipping my toe in the water, I'm not really planning huge cooperation with other people who want to write for this story, but if you have an idea for a side quest thingo, or just write a super good chapter, I'm absolutely not against approving it and having it a part of the world. It's just that I don't want to fully hand over the reins, so that I can learn all of this. It's very new to me.
I really do mean it about the suggestions, it'd be awesome to hear what you want or any ideas you have. I hope you all enjoy yourselves!

(28/12/2019) Wow, two days on and this story has 26 favourites, 67 likes, and 11,479 reads!! I really can't thank you all enough, it's been such a warm reception. I'm not afraid to admit how happy I get when I publish a longer chapter that took me an hour or so on-and-off, to see that I've got 6 new notifications, all from the same person liking different chapters and leaving a like trail so that I can follow in real time their adventure through the town. I'm not too proud to admit that when a notification says that a new person is following the story I, without fail, either say "oh, that's so cool" out loud to myself in real life or squeak, every time. I'm not ashamed to admit that I constantly check the story map to see which options have the most reads when there are several options -- you'd be surprised to know that almost as many people choose not to get naked for Ben right off the bat as do choose to. Also, the bank robber's fashion advice is tied in first place for most likes with the Introduction and the Smother sections of the wrestling match. Didn't see that coming. Anyway, I'm not going to spam this with constant author's note updates, because I don't want to be all obnoxious to you, but I really really do mean it that I appreciate so much that people are reading this story and what a nice warm reception I've got with my first real venture into this sort of thing. I'm so glad that a lot of you seem to really be enjoying the story, and I hope you all continue to!

(30/12/2019) Whew! 4 days and 106 chapters in, and the town is finally completed! Seriously, I can't say enough how cool this whole thing is, I'll never get over it. I love it all so much but I don't want to keep talking about it because you didn't come here for that. SO! Town is complete. There's a good chance I'll come back and add a few choices/pathways here and there (and maybe another area, if I think of or hear any good ideas), but not yet. I'm going to take a bit of time to slow down before diving into the Coinpilfer University arc, to finally go through and edit all of the chapters in the town. I'm sure there are little mistakes, or sentences that could be constructed better, all over. I was uploading it as soon as I typed it, rather than drafting or anything, because I wanted there to be some substance when people clicked on the story -- I didn't want people clicking on it and seeing a bunch of loose, unfinished ends, or all setup with no release, so I tried to get it done and working quickly. But now, new people will be able to get a feel for the story, and actually spend some time in the town, so I feel safe taking a bit to edit what I've done, and refine a few of the Game features (variable specific dialogue especially -- one full on game-changer in particular that you can find working overtime at the strip club!). Anyway, I hope you've all enjoyed the Town portion of the story, and if you have any last-minute suggestions for different choices, areas, or encounters in existing areas, then now is the perfect time to slip them in before I get fully into the swing of the Coinpilfer University arc. (9/1/2019) Dudes. You guys are so cool. 177 chapters, 91 favourites, 377 likes, and 75,252 reads. Holy hell. I don't even know how to say how cool this is for me anymore, I'm basically just listing the numbers so that I can go back and see how insanely welcoming people were and at such a fast rate. This is so rockin'. By now, the town is mostly finished (Still want to edit the gym, strip club, bank, and wrestling to check for things I could write better), and I think I'm set on what the magic show will be -- I'm thinking something hypnosis gone wrong, but I'm still open to other ideas if anybody has them. We're ready to start the first day of classes at Coinpilfer University, and I'm ready to dive right in, I have the entire first year of uni planned out with a skeleton structure of ideas. Again, this is so awesome to me, you've been so receptive and everything and it's so cool to see. If you have any suggestions or requests, as always, please let me know. You guys are the best.

(1/3/2020) Hey hey! Sorry I didn't post anything new for almost three weeks there. That won't be common! That was just a buncha work requirements popping up at once. I also didn't want to make a new update on this page until Day 1 had been completely completed, which it now is! It's so cool to know that people are enjoying this, and even when I wasn't writing more I was checking in pretty regularly. 321,071 reads, 1,124 likes, and 246 favourites as of right now! I still have such a hard time believing it, and I still have all notifications on, and I still say "oh that's so cool" out loud whenever I get one saying that somebody favourited the story. I've got a lot planned here, and I hope that it continues to be enjoyed by people. I really do try to make the Game Mode aspects of this fun and cool and stuff, and I enjoy writing it quite a lot since I've never really done anything like this before. Input and suggestions and requests are still and always appreciated, if you've got anything in mind! Thanks a ton, and have a great rest of your day.

(17/3/2020) I keep repeating the numbers in these just because it's so cool to me going back through the Author's Notes and seeing the timeline of growth, so excuse me, but thank you dudes all so incredibly much for 294 favourites, 1,218 likes, and 418,885 reads (!!) on the 349 chapters up so far. I still have no idea how many of those are link chapters, but still! It's so cool having a reception and seeing people click the buttons that means they enjoy stuff. I will never ever ever get over that feeling. Anyway! I'm sure a lot of us are currently either staying at home by choice or necessity with the virus going around. I still have my school on, all with video-calls, but my overall workload is much much lower, and my overall free time is still much much higher, so I'm going to use this time to do a lot of new chapters and editing of existing chapters so that the rest of you have another thing to fill your time with. I know how much it sucks to be homebound after the first couple of days when you run out of stuff to do. I'll be putting in an effort to try make it a bit nicer for everyone. (17/4/2020) What the heck happened?! Again, this is just so super duper cool to me because I have no idea what I'm really doing and I've never done anything even a little bit like this before. This last month, the numbers all just absolutely skyrocketed for some reason! It's so so absurd to me. 1617 Likes (+32.8% of what it was 31 days ago), 397 Favourites (so sweet of you guys! And +35% of what it was 31 days ago, somehow!), and 601,091 Reads (+43.5% what it was 31 days ago!!). I even did those percentage calculations, because it's so so super duper crazy and cool and awesome. In one month everything went up by a third! It's so cool to be getting a response, and I say again that I never ever get used to this and I still whisper out loud "oh that's so cool" every time the notification comes in that somebody added it to favourites. You guys bop so hard! I was gonna do another update once this next day'd been finished, but I just had to address this. For real, this is such a rocking feeling for me, it's so unbelievable and cool and unbelievably cool. I've already added a bunch more stuff to the Courtyard, and it should be pretty quick and easy to bang out the class parts of the day, so you can expect the full day to be out and done by the end of the weekend. (21/6/2020) Hello! So I'm actually going away to a place without any internet (or computers) for like nine days now. The last day of your first week at Coinpilfer University is almost finished, but I do have a sort of feeling that certain routes might not make it in time since it's 11:47pm when I'm writing this update. I really really want to get as many done as I can though, so I'm going to try to do that! This day's been slower than the others because of the alternate route, which is pretty non-stop on the sexy scenes. I never want to have the exact same scene twice (even if there are similar ones, they'll be different enough where you can SUPER easily tell them apart), and I also want players to have a lot of options when it matters (specifically in mini-game days like this day can be), so the result of that was a million different sexy scenes. I can write them pretty fast when I'm writing them, and I think (hope) I do them well, but I know for sure now that I have trouble doing a bunch all back-to-back, as in within the span of a couple of hours. Plus, we're back to physical school in Australia, so I've had a ton more schoolwork. But anyway! No more excuses! I'm gonna get done all that I can tonight before it's sleepy time, and then I'm gonna finish off what I didn't do right away when I get back, because I feel bad about it and I'm disappointed in myself at how slow it's been coming along.
When I'm back, I'll probably do another update here to talk more in depth about it, but there's a ton of quality-of-life shizz I'd like to get done before/while I'm working on the weekend. That's editing chapters to make sure everything makes sense, doing some more testing on stuff, and adding a TON of my ideas into the Courtyard.

Every time I get a comment or a follow my heart just super melts, and sometimes people will like a bunch of chapters in a row and I wake up to see it all and it's just a really really good feeling. 982,836 Reads, by the way -- that's nearly a million! We're four days off this story being six months old (!!), and I'm mad that I'm gonna miss it, but oh well. I can't believe what an awesome response it's had and I'm really so so glad that so many of you seem to enjoy it. 2,274 Likes and 521 Favourites is just unbelievable to me, I didn't expect anything more than maybe making a couple of people sorta happy when I started and I still don't expect this stuff when I wake up each day. (10/7/2020) Holy heck guys, I'm actually smiling so super wide whenever I see those numbers on the right. 2,703 Likes, 538 Favourites, and 1,086,590 Reads!!! I know that having stuff like hubs inflates that number, but it still feels really cool to see. The story passed a million reads while I was away, and I also missed the 6 month anniversary while I was away, so I'm just an absolute monster right now, but I'm back! I have been for a while, but I didn't want to make a new update here until I'd capped off Day 5, because this is more for important updates than for bloggin or somethin, ya know? Anyway, super huge thank you for how cool and nice you guys all are about the story, again, it's really so so cool to see.
So! The first week of Coinpilfer's been capped off now. Woo! It'll be a little while before I start week 2 though, because there's tons I want to do and prepare -- a bunch more gym entries, food court work entries, arena entries (TONS of these!), as well as other stuff like special stuff like a second shower and more things to see on the TV. Plus visiting Lola's room, more Newton/Nora/Cameron interactions..... PLUS adding on stuff to the Day 5 alternate route where you try to make a teacher cum, that'll make it better but it still works without them. I also want to prepare a ton of the stuff that'll be there when you get back next week, which I can't talk about because spoilers n stuff, as well as finally preparing and adding in the other locations I've had planned for the Courtyard since before that hub chapter existed. I also want to be writing some of the stuff that'll happen on the weekend (suggestions welcome), which I want to have a lot of fun with, and add onto that me wanting to go back to proofread/edit/playtest stuff I didn't get to originally (and the fact that Year 12 midyears are about to start in Australia with the real exams soon to follow), and ye, it'll probably be a little bit before week 2 starts. By the way, I have a million plans for week 2, and it's going to be so bopping! You won't believe it. Hopefully it won't be too long, because even though that's a huge list of stuff (and the real-world exams are a pretty big time-eater), a lot of the stuff can be done pretty quickly. Maybe 2-3 things banged off in a single night, even! So it's not like this story's going to be sitting stuck at the weekend hub for three months or something ridiculous. Now might be a good-ish time for a second playthrough, though, if it's been a while since you did the last one and don't remember some stuff. In any case, it won't be too long, and I'll do it as quickly as I can while factoring the real-world stuffs.
You guys are awesome, and I'm really really glad you're enjoying the story if you are. Please do suggest things for the weekend if you have any ideas (could be classmate-based like a sleepover or a trip to the circus, or more solo-based like the original Town hub was with Debbie going around the city checking things out.
