Oh look, a distraction!

You looked over to Sarah to see her off in her own world and decided it would be worth the risk if it meant the work you had to do now would be easier. You grabbed your phone out of your pocket and angled yourself so that you could make sure Sarah couldn’t see your screen.

You loaded the KDK and before you could load up the shop, a notification appeared in front of you, instantly making you lose interest in using the shop. You took a peek out of the corner of your eye to check on Sarah one final time and then your full attention was drawn to your phone.

You tried to hide the smile creeping up your face in case Sarah looked at you but you couldn’t help but grin when you saw Mom’s effects. Her passive would make things so much easier between the two of you now that she was more likely to be open with her own feeling and would certainly make family dinners a lot more interesting if the passive worked like you expected.

Her active effect was definitely the star of the show though. Now that you knew you could actually get seconds when either you or Mom were ****, made this effect so much more valuable than you would have thought previously. Mom’s next hurdle of reaching thirty thousand seconds would have been a lot more challenging if you had to slowly make her less hesitant towards your advances. You would still be doing that of course but with everything now at your disposal, you hoped it would be easier than you first thought.

“What are you smiling at?” Sarah asked, making you quickly turn your head in her direction to see that she was staring at you with a funny look on her face.

“Ah.. Er Emma just sent me a text” you replied, seeing Sarah roll her eyes as she drew her own conclusions.

“Ugh don’t even tell me. I don’t wanna know what lovey-dovey messages you two send each other” Sarah scoffed, getting up off your bed and heading towards the door

You would have tried to convince her to stay if not for the KDK, and the fact that you still wanted to browse its shop was the main reason you let her leave without trying anything sexual. The shop loaded as you expected and the countdown now appeared on its main page now that you had bought the weekly deal. There were still some items that looked appealing to you but they were either too many points for you to casually buy or you would need to have a conversation with Emma before you were certain if it was worth it. There were also some that looked useful but so far you haven't had any reason to buy them yet.

The cost for yourself was quite high compared to the subject upgrade but given that it would only affect the one subject if you picked their upgrade, you might as well just bite the bullet and buy the user one. You did find it interesting that a subject needed to be at level 3 or higher but based on the progression you had seen with the couple of people already at level 3, it made some sense.

The other interesting part was that the upgrade hinted at further levels and their effects, something you would need to look out for in the future. Level 1 was there to lower your fertility but further levels might reduce the chance to zero and allow you to be essentially sterile or the more exciting option of being able to increase it. Either way, both potential upgrade paths would definitely be life changing and high up on your list to buy if it ever came down to it.

The main fact actually stopping you from buying these upgrades though was that, well… you hadn’t actually lost your virginity yet. From the way things were going it was only a matter of time and it was definitely something on your mind as things started heading down that route. The moral implications about using the KDK in that way also weighed on you and in cases such as Sarah where you could pretty much guess what her level 4 passive effect would give you access to, you didn’t want to take this too lightly.

For now though, it was a thought you’d need to have at another time as you first needed to make sure that everything you had planned for tonight went smoothly. You knew Emma would let you know when she was ready and without knowing when exactly that time would come, you couldn’t really start something with a subject and have it get cut short.

You looked back down at your phone and set about doing what you had meant to do originally.

The pain hit you once again but it was milder than the last time and you knew it was only going to get easier as the upgrades increased. You bought the subject upgrade as you had suggested to Emma but you wouldn’t be activating it until she knew it was about to happen.

Your PC was still on at the side of you and the screen flickered off now that you hadn’t touched the mouse in a little while. With nothing else going on, it seemed to be in your best interest to focus on your studies in the little time that you had free.
