Chapter 6 by Honeybunni Honeybunni

What now?

Oh beans, it'workout time!

I look at my watch. Damn, I guess it'time for the gym. No matter how many times I go, I can't help but dread going. My motivation could definetly do with a bit of work, but with my new body, I might even impress down at the gym.

I get dressed in a tracksuit, grab some water and leave for the gym. Lily's car is missing, she must be gone to see some boy. Guess I'm walking then. I thought the workout wasn't supposed to start until I GET to the gym!

I start leafing through my phone. I can't help but go through Facebook again and start stalking. I know it's an awful habit, but I can't seem to stop. Especially Rebecca, a crush of mine since I started secondary school.

I look up from my phone and nearly drop it. Speak of the devil! Walking towards me, with her Jack Russel, is Rebecca!

Seeing her in person, I can't help my heartbeat from quickening. Not only is she absolutely blindingly sexy, she is smart and funny aswell. I have never been brave enough to ask her out, if only because of her apparent disinterest.

I go to turn the other way, hoping see didn't see me to avoid an awkward encounter, before I am suddenly hit with a strike of lightning. Maybe THIS is why I had that dream of Aphrodite! My brain was telling myself to go for it! Perhaps this is why it is sticking to me so much?

Steeling myself, I walk up behind Rebecca, nervous still in my stomach. She turns around, with a look of surprise.

'Ah John! Didn't see you there! Are you heading to gym.' The way she talks and smiles just brings warmth to me.

'Ye-yeah!' I say, perhaps a little too enthusiastically 'Gotta stay in tip top shape!'

Her dog runs up and jumps on my leg. 'Oh hey boy, how are you.' I pet him behind the ears. 'So uh... Rebecca... I was just thinking and uh...' I'm cut off.

She is texting on her phone, smirking at the screen. My heart falls. Perhaps this wasn't a good idea. 'Oh sorry, this guy was just sending funny stuff and I had to respond. What's up?' She smiles and looks at me.

I start to feel sick. This was a bad idea. 'Oh no it wasn't important. I've got to get to gym anyway, I'll see you.' Giving the dog one last pet I leave. That was stupid, John, going after her based on a dream. Get real, man, she'll never be into you! I don't even hear her call her goodbyes after me as I walk towards the gym, ready to forget what just happened

Get to the gym, idiot
