Official hunt

A few minutes later, Edward makes his appearance with Amanda and Camille walking behind him. He joins his own group and after a few minutes, he turns around and speaks to all of you.

"I see we're all here... then let's begin." His voice is not loud, but strangely everyone has stopped talking and is listening to him speak. "To avoid any unnecessary friction, each Prime will take his group in a different direction, just as we agreed. Make sure you keep up with your Prime and enjoy the hunt." He pauses and looks around at all the pack members and sees that everyone knows what to do so he continues.

"Things should be quiet, despite all the ruckus in the city. We are still on the pack's ground, so they shouldn't dare to make a move here. Regardless, if anything happens call and backup will arrive. You all know what to do, right?" the last question addressed more to his Primes.

"Yeah!" you respond in unison with the rest of the Primes, as you've already discussed this in detail with them multiple times. Lately, the pack members have begun to discover traces of vampires in the city, but Edward had trouble finding any specimens.

Despite looking for them, every search party comes up empty-handed. It's like the earth engulfed them, so you are left in a constant state of wariness because you know they are here and are planning something, but you don't know when or what.

"Good. That's all. Happy hunting!" Edward ends his little speech and starts running in his direction with his group following closely behind him.

"I guess it's time, let's go!" you say as you turn around and start going west. Once you are far enough from the other groups, you slow down and let the pack members take the lead. Jenny chooses to stay behind with you as you watch them go through all the struggles you had when you first tried this.

Despite having experience, Nicole doesn't seem to be trying very hard as she is more interested in making fun of her mate, Mark. Leyla is the most experienced werewolf besides Nicole as she has already had a hunt with you and it clearly shows, as her movement is smooth and she seems to unwittingly lead the newbies.

From time to time Nicole barks commands for the pack to follow.

"Shouldn't you be doing that?" you tease Jenny.

"Why?"

"Aren't you supposed to be the boss? People will misunderstand..."

"Why aren't you doing that?"

"My job is to kill it, it's the lady's job to find it."

"I just want to get this over with, let her do whatever she wants. I wouldn't know what to say anyway."

"Still not enjoying this?"

"Nope. I prefer my meat already butchered and cooked to perfection. Tearing raw meat off a bone with blood splattering all over is not my idea of a meal."

"You pretentious little thing!"

Just before she can snap back at you, Leyla interrupts. "That way!" she says pointing at nothing.

"Very good!" Nicole encourages her, as you can clearly sense a group of animals in that direction.

Unlike the practice rounds, you now have a large enough group that allows you to encircle them. With a signal from Nicole, the group begins to approach from every direction leaving only an opening towards you. "Now!" You hear Nicole yell and several people start sprinting towards the deer, scaring them into running.

Unfortunately, coordination is non-existent and the wolves leave enough room for the deer to scatter in different directions between them. Not letting the setback become a failure, they chase after the prey enthusiastically.

"There goes the plan ..." you chuckle as you start running after one of the closer groups.
