Chapter 11 by flashstudiosguy flashstudiosguy

But will he remember it?

Of sorts..

The next morning, Robert woke up to the sound of his alarm which he groggily turned off and lay in bed, staring up at the celling. As he lay there, he started thinking about what happened last night or at least, what he thought happened. " Me being able to stop time, what a lark!" he grunted as he got out of bed and staggered over to the Dollar Store Coffee Maker on his kitchen counter "I probably told that kid to screw himself, got on the train, staggered home, passed out and my drunk ass mind made up all the rest to fill in the blanks.."

As he blindly fumbled for the sugar, he found a watch lying on the counter. It took his eyes a while to focus before he immediately recognised it as the watch belonging to the Cheerleader from last night but what the hell was it doing in his kitchen?! She hadn't been in the bed when he'd woken up and a quick check of the door confirmed that it was still locked on the inside, so he'd obviously not convinced her to come back to his place, not that he would have, seeing how he recalled her being no older than seventeen.

Had he stolen it? No, that was impossible, surely, as pickpocketing wasn't really his skill set, he was more of a wait until no one's looking and swipe it off the table kind of thief. So, if she hadn't left it behind or he hadn't pick pocketed it, that could mean only one possible outcome!

"I really did stop time last night!" but just to be sure, he needed to experiment; he recalled the episode of the Twilight Zone where a really boring bozo got hold of a pocketwatch that could stop time. The next day, the guy assumes what happened the night before was all a dream, that is, until he decides to experiment by looking out of the window and clicking the watch.

Does he experiment?
