Oddly...Well

"Chloe?" Zack asked, his brow raised in minor surprise,

Instantly Chloe's eyes opened, she lifted her head off Brandon's chest and gave her eyes a quick wipe, "Zack? Ashley? Thank god, you guys are okay," Chloe smiled before reaching over and giving Brandon a quick tap on the chest,

Brandon shot awake, almost jumping from his seat, "Huh?! What?" The jock drowzily asked,

"You fell asleep first, I win," Chloe teased as she got up, "Second, look,"

Brandon looked down the porch and saw Ashley and Zack warily approaching. Jumping to his feet he and Chloe rushed down to meet them, "Damn you guys are alright, you had us all freaked out," Brandon said in relief while pulling Zack into a quick hug.

The teen's brow raised in surprise and he anxiously patted Brandon's back in response, "Yeah, we're good..." Zack said as he peered over to Chloe,

Brandon let go of Zack and quickly turned to Ashley, pulling the girl into a hug as well. Ashley's whole body tensed, her body scrunching up and eyes squeezing shut, "God, I was so scared, Ash. I thought something happened to you guys in that storm,"

"We're fine," Ashley grunted while pulling out Brandon's hold, doing her best not to visibly shake off the uncomfort he just caused her, "I just need a shower now,"

Brandon's shoulders slightly dropped, sensing Ashley's near disgust from his actions, "Sorry...I..." He mumbled under his breath,

"It's fine," Ashley sharply stopped him, clearly just to stop him from saying anything more, "Zack, I'm heading back to our room to change and shower,"

"Okay Ash," Zack nodded watching as the girl nearly marched into the cabin, her head not even glancing back. Zack would have assumed she was fleeing if he didn't know the anger that was probably already building back inside her again,

"Zack," Brandon suddenly said causing the brown haired teen to snap over to him, "Thanks...for watching out for her, glad you're okay," Brandon sighed before dragging his feet as he too returned to the cabin.

"Yeah..." Zack whispered back, watching Brandon leave before letting out a long relieved exhale, "Holy shit, that went better than expected,"

"Ahem," Chloe cleared her throat bringing over Zack's attention. Stepping towards her friend she warmlu smiled before punching him hard in the shoulder, "You asshole!"

Zack reeled back, "Ow Chloe, Jesus!" Zack exclaimed, rubbing and rolling his shoulder, "What the hell was that for?!"

"You scared the shit out of me!" Chloe exclaimed with wide, fearful eyes, "I thought you got lost, or eatten by a fucking mountain lion!"

"Don't be ridiculous," Zack groaned as he finished relaxing his pained shoulder, "We made it to the old camp, and just held up in one of the cabins for the night," He easily explained, "It would have been more dangerous if we had tried to get back instead,"

"I get it...I don't have to like it though," Chloe muttered with a small shake of her head, "Okay, come here," She lamented, pulling Zack into a tight hug, "Was it at least a good night?"

"You could definitely say that..." Zack admitted with a breathy laugh as the hug broke,

Chloe let out a smile and shook her head, "Had a feeling, noticed the way you two were looking at Brandon...plus Ash had a little limp," Chloe snickered, "I would just not mention it to Brandon. He's trying to accept things but...you know,"

"I get it, yeah, I'm not gonna be trying to throw anything in his face," Zack honestly replied, "I just want things to stay calm and cool this week. But, speaking of Brandon, you were sleeping on his chest?"

"Don't read into it, we just stayed up waiting for you two until we passed out," Chloe denied with a toss of her eyes, "You may be Romeo, but I'm not trying to be Juliet,"

"Fair enough," Zack chuckled back, "Anyone else up, you think?"

"No clue, but either way we should let them know you're alive before they try and call the rangers again," Chloe hummed while the duo made their way into the cabin.
