Obey Automatically

Red eyes flash across your vision as she shouts, "Stop!" once more. Your muscles freeze. You cannot move! You try to fight it, muscles straining, but try as you might you can't do much more than twitch in place as those eyes from your memory seem to bore into your soul.

"Turn around!" she commands. You are helpless to do anything but obey. Slowly your body turns, step by step. You try to fight it, but you are clearly no longer in control of your body. You feel your terror rising. You can see her approaching slowly, seeming to glide over the tile rather than walking over it. In just a few moments, you know you're going to be staring into her eyes again, and this time, there will be no escape.

"Drop the rosary," she commands. Your hand automatically goes to your neck, roughly tearing the necklace off. The links break. Beads clink off the tile at your feet. You **** your fingers to hold onto it, your last defense. You hold it out in front of you, though it seems she's standing just a bit too far to be affected by it. "Let go of it!" she commands.

You know you have **** but to obey. Your body is going to betray you and let go of the rosary, your last defense, one way or another. But the vampiress didn't specify how to let the rosary go, and you think if you put your effort into it you could give it a good swing first to send it flying through the air at her, rather than falling to the ground. You don't think you'll get another chance to escape!
